This trip involved a 10 mile hike in and setting up camp for 3 nights along with multiple day hikes from the campsite. 🥾

I used EVERYTHING I packed except for the camping string lights and a couple food items because I ended up eating at the cafe a couple of times.

My pack weighed around 27lbs which I was proud of for my first backpacking trip! What helped the most was my ultralight tent and sleep system from @seatosummit!

I’ve dreamt of visiting Havasupai for years. When @byron.mead asked me if I wanted to join him, the answer was an immediate yes.

This land has been home to the Havasupai people for over 1000 years. The $455 permit fee helps to financially support the tribe while also helping to preserve and maintain the area.

This campsite was absolutely beautiful… but just wait until I show y’all the waterfalls. 😍

We can’t believe September 🍃has already come and gone. But we’re SO grateful for all the hiking trails we got to explore this past month. Here’s a fun recap from some of our favorite hikes. It’s fall now in Utah and the colors 🍁🍂 are starting to pop! Can’t wait to explore more of this beautiful scenery in October and share the scenes with all you. What’s the scariest interaction you’ve ever had on a hiking trail before? For us, we each have a different fear for what we encounter. But in all the years we’ve lived in Utah, we’ve never seen a Tarantula 🕷️in the wild before.

We kept our distance and allowed this little guy the right of way. Even though we were going up hill, we gladly stepped aside to let him pass and continue with his journey. Best to keep a safe distance! 🥾

The third and final lake of the Brighton Lakes in Lake Catherine. This Lake affords so many amazing places to sit and take in the views. You can sit atop the lake looking down onto the water or you can walk the full loop around the water’s edge. Either option affords to inscris le views of this serene beauty.

You can also Access Lake Catherine either vis the @brightonresort located in Big Cottonwood Canyon or via @altaskiarea in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
