My PO box held this package hostage for a little bit 😂📦 but it finally made it home! And look how beautifully everything was packaged! 💕

I'm so excited to try out my Ring Thing! 💍 As a caregiver, having a safe place to keep my engagement ring when I need to take it off is going to be so helpful!

Huge thank-you to Kim for this thoughtful gift! 🥹❤️

Everyday frustrations can spark surprisingly useful ideas 💍💡

For Kimberly Schafer, inventor of Ring Thing, inspiration struck during a manicure when she had nowhere safe to store her rings.

In Episode 32 of Discover East County, Kimberly explains how that moment grew into a solution for workouts, swimming, rock climbing, horseback riding, and other activities where rings can get lost or damaged. For East County’s active community, practical protection can make all the difference.

See what sparked Ring Thing and how one relatable problem inspired a versatile solution.

Beat the Heat 20 is Saturday, August 8th and registration is live!

It’s a big year for the community, so there is a lot to celebrate.

It all started in Zich’s garage; just a bunch of local climbers looking for a place to get strong and connect with other people on the same wavelength… some things never change!

This year is extra special, marked by some pretty mega milestones for Sportrock. Alexandria turns 30 years old and Sterling turns 25!

Registration is open!

If you like a party, this one is for you. Expect a crowd, expect awesome climbing, free swag, crate stacking, and games for the whole family, and make sure to stay until finals to catch the best climbers in the region battle it out under the bright lights.

This event is totally free for members and the first 75 non-member competitors can register for $75, after that registration will go up to $95.

Beat the Heat sells out every year, so don’t plan on waiting until the last minute to register. Image of a garage with BTH20 written on it for Sportrock’s Beat the Heat 20 event.
