💍🤍 MR & MRS RIMMER 🤍💍

A beautiful day, a gorgeous venue and plenty of fun for the littlest wedding guests. ✨

Today we had the pleasure of setting up our elegant white Bouncy Castle at the beautiful @ringobellspub in Ormskirk for the wedding of Mr & Mrs Rimmer. 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️

Our Bouncy Castle created hours of fun and excitement for the little guests, giving them their very own space to play while the grown-ups celebrated the newlyweds. 🏰🤍

Because weddings aren’t just about keeping the adults entertained… the little guests deserve something special too! ✨

A huge thank you to @_samidudley , the beautiful bride, for choosing and trusting The Soft Kingdom to be part of such a special day. We hope you had the most magical celebration and wish you both a lifetime of happiness. 🥂💍

AD | Sunday well spent at @ringobellspub 🍽️🤤

If you’re on the hunt for a cute little Sunday roast, this spot on Ring O’Bells Lane near Ormskirk is worth adding to your list 👀

We had:
▪️ CRISPY DUCK FRITTERS: summer slaw, ginger, garlic & chilli dressing
▪️ BEEF SHORT RIB SCOTCH EGG: crispy shallots, spiced mango chutney
▪️ 28 DAY AGED SIRLOIN OF BEEF SUNDAY ROAST
▪️ CUMBRIAN CHICKEN SUPREME SUNDAY ROAST
▪️ CAULIFLOWER CHEESE
▪️ APRICOT, BACON & BRANDY STUFFING

The beef short rib scotch egg definitely set the tone. Then the roasts 🤩 Both were piled high with all the traditional trimmings, generous portions and cooked beautifully. The beef was lovely and tender, while the chicken was so juicy. And of course, there was no way we were skipping a side of cauliflower cheese 😏

The pub itself has such a cosy atmosphere too, making it the perfect place to spend a slow Sunday afternoon with good food and a drink!

Some places are worth the wait... ❤️

Back in lockdown, I drove past @ringobellspub countless times, always thinking, “I really need to try that one day.” Well, I finally did, and it was everything I’d hoped for and more.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the pub was buzzing with families, friends, happy dogs and the loveliest atmosphere. We were lucky to have a table overlooking the terrace, with countryside views and the canal just beyond. It genuinely felt like a little holiday.

Lydia recommended the Beef Short Rib Scotch Egg, and wow... I can honestly say it’s the best Scotch egg I’ve ever eaten.

For mains, I chose the roast beef dinner, while Dad went for his favourite, beer battered fish and chips.

Can we just take a moment for the roast potatoes? I lost count after nine! They were perfectly crisp, fluffy in the middle and exactly how roasties should be. And the veg took me back to every Christmas dinner I’ve ever had with all of my favourite veg!

The beef was beautifully tender, the Yorkshire pudding was huge and Dad absolutely loved his fish and chips.

I also have to mention how cute he looked in his little waistcoat and tie T-shirt.

Despite the generous portions, we couldn’t leave without sharing the warm Almond & Raspberry Bakewell with strawberry ripple cream, and it was the perfect ending.

After lunch, we wandered along the canal before admitting defeat to the heat and our very full stomachs!

A huge thank you to @madebythink and the wonderful team at Ring O’ Bells for such a lovely afternoon.

If you’re looking for generous portions, beautiful canalside views and a country pub that instantly feels like home, this one is absolutely worth the drive. Next time, Ocean is definitely coming too! 🐶❤️
