They say it’s all about the music. I disagree.
It’s about the music, yes. But equally (if not more) importantly, it’s about the people. It’s about the details. The intention. The friendships. The beats, the moves, the pride.
The hugs, oh the countless tight hugs.
The midnight dancing, the 2am Biriyanis, the 5am deep conversations. The giggles echoing through the hotel corridors. The speaker playing by the swimming pool. The group chats that announce the after party venue for all. The selfies that doesn’t see the light of the day. Even the missed flights and rescheduled plans.
It’s a bunch of wonderful souls who look out for each other, share pure energy and thrive together with every peak and drop on the dance floor. It’s the laughs that leave tears streaming down the cheeks. It’s the sweet pain when the show closes after an incredible set. It’s the goodbyes that hurt much more than we admit to ourselves.
Oh, and did I mention the music?
