![The month every Lucknowite eagerly waits to arrive.✨♥️
The Bada Mangal (Jyeshtha Ka Mela) is celebrated in the month of Jyeshtha in Lucknow and neighbouring areas with multiple Bhandaras held across the city throughout the month.
The story behind Jyeshtha Ka Mela- Bada Mangal is even more interesting as Begum Aliyah prayed for an offspring to Lord Hanuman and was blessed by a baby boy and so she built Purana Hanuman Mandir in Aliganj about 400 years ago.
Since then this ritual of Bada Mangal has been carried forward by the people of the city.
