Having a good time in Lisbon with my old Cali buddy, Phil Racies.

We were grad students at the California Institute of Integral Studies together and then housemates. He married, moved to Portland and Florida, then to Lisbon.

Divorcing now, we can talk about dating and working out and other single-man priorities (plus put these things into practice. We go to a good gym closeby, and the nightlife here's rich!).

Our values are nearly identical, and we share a stock of similar experiences.

It's good to be hosted by him here and see a bit of the art scene.

That last shot is the monumental sculpture of the traffic circle that faces his 4th-floor flat!

City waves, good vibes, and even better company 🌊🏄‍♂️

Just out here riding waves, laughing, and making memories with the homie. You don’t need the ocean to catch a good wave—you just need the right people and a good time 🤙🏽

When I was a kid my sister bought me a black light poster of Sublime. It was the same tear Bradley Nowell died and I had no idea who they were. I got on limewire and downloaded every single song I could find by then and probably crashed the family computer. I fell in love though and their music shaped my life and brought me out of so many dark times. I saw them a few times with Rome but it wasn’t the same. Now that Jakob, Bradley’s son, is taking the lead it’s surreal. Getting to see him perform for @jakobnowell and @sublime last weekend with some of my favorite people was an incredible experience. 🥳🌞🎶
