Michael Schumacher, the Future Cat and PUMA I am always stunned when I hear the figures of how many Future Cats @puma has sold over the years. And of course, I’m happy about it, as not many designs make it to million-seller status. It’s crazy and always feels a bit surreal! But what excites me personally, at least if not more, is the fact that the basis and all the ideas behind the Future Cat are a one hundred percent hardcore performance concept. From the complete product design and all its details to the graphic features of the shoe, behind every element was a thought, a lot of consideration, and final clear decisions. So it was all the more incredible for me at the time that @michaelschumacher was the first driver in Formula 1 to race in real F1 races wearing the shoe. No messing around, it was down to business, and athletes like him don’t have the time or capacity to sugarcoat anything! Things have to work exactly as the athlete needs them to, otherwise they’re immediately thrown out and replaced. Needless to say, I was a little nervous... But he liked the shoe. He raced in it many times, won many races, and maybe his shoe played a very small part in that. It was awesome and very emotional for me to see recently during my visit to PUMA how the legacy and close connection between Michael Schumacher, the Future Cat, and PUMA is upheld.

Two weeks ago we finally made it to the @puma Archive, nestled deep in the historical centre of Herzogenaurach, Germany (better known as the birthplace of the Dassler brothers, aka PUMA and Adidas). For years we’ve been chatting to @j.rohwerk and @studio__encore about doing this trip together; Joerg and Florence are former @pumamotorsport designers behind some of the most iconic shapes of the brand (the Future Cat and Impulse Cat amongst countless others!), so we knew having them alongside us in the archive would be invaluable beyond measure. We were also joined by Romain Giraud, head of Innovation, as he designed alongside Joerg and Florence in the early 2000s. It made the whole experience feel like a family reunion that we somehow got a seat at the table of! Meeting @tung_hoang_ in person and being able to tour the archive with him was another dream come true. If we’re archivists, then Tung is the next level. Dream job! Surrounding our archive visit was a packed day at PUMA HQ, including lunch, a tour of the Motorsports floor and being able to connect with so many people that we’ve been chatting to online for years. Thank you to everyone that came over and said hello, and apologies to those we missed (it so overwhelming in the best possible way, believe us when we say we were like kids in a candy store). 2025 in achievements. @andro1dgirl has grown bigger. From photoshoots to major event partnerships during F1 with @pumaau and a end of year party at @lebajo_milkbar S/o @moralrefuse @lokeyee @ribl3t @tabemonokudasai for unlocking the magic. My first time in Japan and our pop-up at @hitochigai_shimokitazawa was the dream come true stuff. Opened 3 ReBird centers for @arcteryx across Australia, pushing circularity in the space. Trained some great people, went on good hikes. 10/10 Thanks @patrickroll for the support all year 🙌🏻 And @lesterdotdog is coming in 26. We’re late but our first production is ready. Getting a packaging that will do the product justice now and launching very soon. Watch out for us. 🐶 @balthazar987 🤍🤍

We were so pleased to collaborate with @pumaau again, this time to celebrate the H-Street! We decided to hold it at one of our favourite local Melbourne spots - @lebajo_milkbar 🤍 As part of Tsunagu Project, we also had catering and creative from @hareruyapantry + @279victoriast and @snkpk_ As always, our collaborator @moralrefuse was there to snap all the moments on the night, as well as working with us to bring to life our social media campaign for the H-Street, which you can find on our feed (and may be one of our favourite creative endeavours yet). A big thank you to everyone that came out for matcha cocktails, cookies, sandos and excellent tunes supplied by @bayblade.k ! What a week we had in Tokyo! 🇯🇵 - firstly the biggest of thank yous to @hitochigai_shimokitazawa for inviting us to show our Levi’s Engineered and Puma pieces in-store. @hitochigai_real @re_haku @mah___109 you wee endlessly lovely to us and we can’t wait to see you again 🥺 - @shin_miura for inviting us to the @oao_footwear showroom on the hottest day ever, but it was so nice and cold inside and the footwear was even cooler. Your collection is absolutely insane and we had so much fun trying everything on! - @seitaku thank you for showing us the @pumajapan store on Cat Street alongside @whitewasonceblack (so nice to see you again!) and giving us some excellent insight and lovely chats! - @rayhoracek_design it was so nice to finally meet you, and to be introduced to Naomi from the Puma Mihara line in the 2010s. Having coffee with you guys and @commeconception before heading to the Puma Nitro event was insanely cool and were so thankful for you making time for us 🫶🏻 - speaking of @commeconception - we saw the @aliveform.bio installation at @doverstreetmarketginza and it was AMAZING!! We can’t wait to come back to such an amazing city full of so many cool people, and we’re so grateful for everyone making time and space for us. Thank you!! 🤍
