I want to tell you about one of my sweetest friends. @marisaborrello has been a friend of mine for years now since she did my makeup for the @sweetbuffalo716 show.

The show ended but Marisa never left me.

She stayed my friend throughout my battle and made me feel beautiful when I was at my lowest.

I remember when she came to my benefit and did my makeup for the first time in awhile. I started treatment and didn't feel like myself anymore.

Marisa held the mirror up to me when she was done and I remember looking at it and saying, "there she is" with tears in my eyes.

Marisa never treated me like I was anything but Kimberly to her. I never felt embarrassed when I didn't look so great because Marisa always lifted up my spirits.

Marisa has never asked me for anything. She's just always been there.

I started writing this in the beginning to share that she's the best makeup artist in Buffalo but then I started thinking about how much her friendship has meant to me.

You have no idea how much just treating me like I was still me no matter what got me through.

So what I'm saying is if you need a makeup artist Marisa is your girl. But if you need a friend, I'm sorry. She's taken. 🩷

marissa and i were classmates all the way back in first grade, so what a full circle moment it was when she inquired with me last year for her wedding! from our very first phone call, i could tell that she was the type of bride that deeply cared about unique and personal details (my favorite kind of bride)!

from coffee shop meetings to venue walkthroughs, we worked so closely to design and perfect all of these pieces to fit into tim and marissa’s day. so grateful to have been a part of your beautiful celebration!!

something so fun about being a wedding vendor in buffalo is connecting with couples and realizing we share the same venn diagram of friends and family!

not long after courtney booked me for her wedding, she saw my last name and realized she grew up down the street from my husband and his family! after talking, we figured out just how many people connected the two of us. fast forward months later to wedding day and i’m getting texts from some of our family members at the wedding who got to see my work first-hand!

so fun when a wedding feels just that much more personal🥰
