Inclusion means everyone. An extract from our FREE LGBTQ+ Supporter Group Toolkit. Link in bio to download.

Football belongs to everyone, but people don’t experience it as single, separate identities.

A disabled fan might also be a person of faith. A fan of colour might also be trans. Intersectionality is the idea that these identities overlap, and that someone can face more than one form of discrimination at once, sometimes together, and sometimes from inside spaces that think of themselves as inclusive.

Who is and isn’t in the room?
Take an honest look at your membership, your committee and your communications. If your group doesn’t reflect the diversity of your city or your fanbase, ask what barriers might be keeping people out that you haven’t spotted.

Listen before you act
Create space through one-to-one conversations, anonymous surveys or open meetings for members to tell you about their experience without judgment. What feels welcoming to some can feel exclusionary to others. Listen first, then act on what you hear.

Deal with discrimination in your own spaces
LGBTQ+ spaces are not automatically free from racism, ableism, misogyny or any other form of discrimination. Be ready to deal with it when it appears, whether in a group chat, at a social or on your social media. Have clear rules that name the behaviour you won’t accept and make sure that members know how to raise a concern.

Amplify people on their terms
Featuring members with overlapping identities in your content can matter a great deal, but only when it’s done with care. Always get full consent, never reduce someone to a single part of who they are and never treat a person as a campaign moment. Visibility helps when it is on the person’s own terms.

Rainbow Devils used the Football v Transphobia Week of Action as a key moment to amplify the experiences of trans and non-binary members. A Leicester City fan supporting his club alongside the headline “Inclusion means everyone”.

Parts of our leaflet to the voters of Bloomsbury which I've been delivering in the Fitzrovia part of the ward this week. Sabrina and I are grateful for their support at the May election. We will continue to represent residents whether to the council, housing associations or more, continuing to work for cleaner, greener streets, new homes and safer places. 🌳

We're very sad Rishi was not re-elected – one resident I bumped into this evening expressed her shock when she saw just the two of us on the front. 😕 I'm glad the leaflet includes thanks to him. Screenshot of the front of the leaflet. In the middle are the words "Thank you Bloomsbury" and around it four pictures are placed which show Sabrina and Adam in locations around the ward.

@kickitout 2025/26 season review has revealed a sobering landmark in the fight against discrimination: for the first time, homophobic reports have exceeded 200 in a single campaign. While racism remains the most prevalent form of abuse, the 46% surge in homophobia highlights a critical need for collective action across the entire football family.

The data underscores that while LGBTQ+ fans have always been part of the game, their presence is being met with an escalating “creeping back” of exclusionary behaviour.

LGBTQ+ fan groups remind the world that LGBT+ fans have always been here, and we aren’t going anywhere. But we cannot defeat homophobia while ignoring racism, sexism, or faith-based hate. To protect the game we love, every fan must be an ally who calls out all forms of discrimination.

Through reporting partnerships with organisations like @football_v_homophobia and @hergametoo Kick It Out is driving greater accountability, but the responsibility to report and reject hate belongs to everyone.

One of many new cycle lanes under way and still to come in Camden. This is one of the busiest routes for people cycling in London and we are finally delivered protected space to enable everyone, not just the brave, to travel by bike here. As ever, the plans include improvements for walking, greening and safer junctions. These add a further 400 metres of lane to the 28km now in the borough! Islington are working on their section of Clerkenwell Road to make this route even better. Funding came from Camden council, TfL and contributions secured via the planning process by the council. #Camden #London #Holborn #ActiveTravel #cycling

What a special piece of theatre 🙏🏾🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ 🎭🎶

Under the Rainbow is far more than a show about Judy Garland. It’s a moving reflection on the joy & tragedy that can sit side-by-side in public life - the love of an audience, the pressure of expectation, the brilliance people see & the struggles they often don’t 🙏🏾

@thejinkx is extraordinary. Funny, vulnerable, magnetic, captivating & deeply compassionate in her portrayal of Garland. She captures both the icon & the person behind the legend with remarkable warmth 🙌🏾

We both found it utterly captivating 🤩

A beautiful, funny & poignant evening that will stayed with us long after the final bow 👏🏾

Catch it before it closes on 21 June & if not when she’s in Oh Mary next! 🌈🎭❤️

Nothing complicated - just a really lovely date night together at The Devil Wears Prada @pradawestend ❤️

We loved the music, the costumes & the energy of the production. Vanessa Williams well cast as Miranda, backed up by some fantastic performances and voices across the cast.

The revelation of the night was @jakeharrisonclarke admitting he’d never seen the film. Some cultural education required once we are through his choir’s show this week 😂

A wonderful evening & a theatre trip we both enjoyed - simple fun 🙌🏾🎭🎶

Good morning everyone 🌅

Today, on World Bicycle Day, let us celebrate the simple joy of cycling — a healthy, eco-friendly and peaceful way to travel.

A bicycle reminds us that every small step, or every small pedal, can take us forward towards better health, cleaner air and a more connected community.

Let’s encourage one another to stay active, protect our environment and enjoy the journey of life with balance and positivity.

Wishing you all a wonderful World Bicycle Day 🚲🌍

Entering the last 5 days of the campaign for @camdenlabour with a flourish 🙌🏾🌹

Brilliant to be out at our final Camden Labour 2026 campaign rally with the @10downingstreet Prime Minister (& our local MP!) @keirstarmer - a real show of energy, unity and determination as we head towards polling day 💪🏾🌹

Great to hit the doors for our fantastic Kentish Town team after in a dream team of Lord @mikekatz5 & @sabfrancis 🙌🏾 Before a detour via Bloomsbury en route to family duties 🫶🏾

5 days to go - there’s a lot to be proud of - and a lot at stake:

🏆 An Outstanding-rated council (X3)- delivering for residents in adult social care & for young people
🏗️ 1,000 new homes - including genuinely affordable homes for local people
🏡 £670m invested to improve council homes - warmer, safer, better living conditions
🚨 £1m extra for community safety - more CCTV and more officers on the streets in Bloomsbury and Holborn

This is what Labour in power looks like - practical, ambitious, and rooted in our communities.

We’re not taking anything for granted. Every conversation matters. Every vote matters. Vote on 7th May for @camdenlabour #OnYourSide

Let’s keep Camden moving forward 🌹
