AVENUE$ OUT NOW. as someone who felt out of place in most settings growing up, I always found it hard to navigate where I should “belong” and what parameters I was supposed to conform to, it’s a shared experience a select few in communities like mine go through that I felt went uncovered in this country. this project was me embracing that authenticity and to prove to myself and the guys like me that you can walk your own path and not have to fit any mold other than your own hence the project’s title name AVENUE$. i wanted to expand the black & irish community’s taste palette and shed light on so many great things we tend to miss out on because it’s not considered “cool” or “the norm” when our world has got so many different wonders we haven’t experienced yet. thank you to all my friends who put up with my ridiculous ideas and requests, held cameras, came to shoots and lended an ear to a guy who just wanted to materialise his vision…that means more than you guys will ever know….and though i may struggle to appreciate all the little wins that make this journey so beautiful, today is a toast to the cause. the real is here to stay.

r:vere Interviews | @yeongseo Starting out in photography before finding her way into music, yeongseo (Sandy Ha) has always been surrounded by creative expression. After years of playing different instruments and experimenting with music, she began taking it more seriously in 2023, finding comfort and inspiration through the friends and artists around her. Alongside her music, she has built a name for herself through photography, working with artists including Yves, underscores, Lucy Bedroque, and many more. Now balancing music with photography and visual work, she approaches both as different ways of expressing herself. In this interview, Sandy talks about finding the confidence to share her music, the process behind her recent single “b7w,” and learning to create without worrying about who is listening.
