These sisters do Yell for tradition🥹🐿️🏁❤️‍🔥🏎️📣

Well chat, there goes 4 years! 4 years of blood, sweat, and tears, all for 20 minutes total on the mat. What a blessing to do Yell all 4 years and direct it for 3. This position has taught me patience, kindness, love, heartbreak, and growth. Some days I wanted to give up entirely, but my sisters always reminded me why it was worth it. I’m forever thankful for a chapter and sisters who have my back through thick and thin. I have oh so much more to say, but I’ll save that for senior wills;). Yell is a hard journey, but a damn good one. Thank you Alpha Gam for reminding me that strong people can do hard things. LIEP FOREVER.

@reagan_presley_ & @kinley.callaway thank you for absolutely dominating as assistant directors. You both sacrificed so much for AGD and Yell. You’re such bright, kind humans and my love for you goes beyond words.

As I say every year, I love AGD, I love TSU, but man do I love Yell. This tradition is SO much more than Greek life fighting for a banner. Yell is our way of showing how much we love Tarleton and everything it’s given us. A banner is the cherry on top. The real win is getting to do Yell.

This year we wrote in our last song, “These sisters do Yell for tradition, not for which org is better. We’re so sorry we’ve got different letters on, but we’re really one. Roll Texans. Stand together now. Let the hate be gone.” And I stand by that.

Every year there are insane rumors about me (like hiring a choreographer… as if I’m not one😀😜), and the rumors about other orgs are just as crazy. Yell isn’t meant to tear us apart. It’s meant to unify us under our university.

As I hang up my Yell shoes, I pray Greek life moves away from the division we’ve seen and truly embraces Greek unity. Support and love one another. We may have different letters on our chests, but our blood is all purple.

I love TSU Yell Contest. Thanks for one of the greatest experiences of my life. 💜
