Deathbed has featured a lot of great comedy writers with a lot of great credits, all writing original horror stories. But The Simpsons is….The Simpsons.

We’re thrilled to welcome @pantssteve to Deathbed, along with his new horror story 555, which publishes next Monday. Steve wrote the classic Simpsons episode “Hurricane Neddy” (Season 8, Episode 8) and we mark the occasion with a clip from arguably the greatest spooky couch gag of them all, from Treehouse of Horror XXIV, and the mind of Guillermo Del Toro. It’s a whirlwind of pop culture horror references from HP Lovecraft to Blade 2. Special thanks to @kevingeeksout for whipping up the video tribute! Read 555 first with a free subscription to Deathbed:

New from DeathbedWriting.com editor in chief @ritchiedee this was a fun one.

Last month, a band called @tophousetheband got on our radar because they release new songs every Monday, and one was a banger that happened to be called DEATHBED. Since we publish horror stories by comedy writers every Monday, it only made sense for us to respond with a short story called TOPHOUSE, inspired by their song. And it’s live now on DeathbedWriting.com
