My Point of You - This is my first heist (2025)
CD Released by @ritefieldrecords

Easily one of my favorite local bands in the current scene. This CD is the anniversary edition that includes the track “water, clawing” and you can swap around the front booklet to display an alternative cover art. If you haven’t gave it a listen then what are you doing…

Release of the Day, Day 12

Today I’m showing off a pretty unique release in my collection. A limited /20 CD re-release of The Walls You’ve Built and their EP “Definition of a Friendship” from 2004. My copy is 14/20.
The Walls You’ve Built originated out of Huston in 2003, releasing a demo a year before they released this EP via Social.Hip.Void. These tracks were all eventually compiled by @ritefieldrecords into a discography vinyl release in 2023. Overstock CDs such as the one you see were also re-distributed in a very limited quantity by the label.
Overall, this EP (as well as the band’s discography) are spectacular. Personally one of my favorite projects/bands of all time. Part of that being because they went to form the band Burned Out Bright. There isn’t a single track out of this whole band’s short discography that doesn’t impress me. Hearts and Bricks, Song 4, and A New House With Nothing But Old Memories (from the discography) are amazing tracks. My only wish is that it wasn’t such a limited physical run so more people could have it.
As always, I would definitely recommend giving this band a listen. Huge thanks to Rite Field for re-releasing this awesome stuff.

I am back with a new post about Denton band A Brief Memoir’s self-titled album. An emotional album so amazing I had to come out of hibernation and write about it. A more complete article found on the blog link in my bio.

Let me know what your thoughts are on the album if you have any, or if you haven’t listened to it go do so and perhaps let me know after.

More content coming soon trust.
