The eight-year old me was once asked during an extempore speech at school, “What is your aim in life?”. I mindlessly blurted out, “I want to be a doctor.” Wish lil’ me had known then that PCMB is not a bed of roses. My family, friends, teachers; all were certain that I should opt for Science stream in my +2 and prepare to go to a medical college. And so I did. Grinded for two years, trying to score the best marks possible and tirelessly preparing myself for the medical entrance. At times I’d question myself- do I really want to do this! So after the two years it completely dawned upon me that this isn’t the way I ever wanted or dreamed of pursuing something. It took me a great deal of courage to come to this realisation that I rather want to study literature and even more persuasions to convince Papa to allow me to go to Delhi.
I applied for University of Delhi and got admitted there by the fourth cut-off. But the story doesn’t end here; rather it begins here. I had taken the two biggest decisions of my life until then and there was no looking back. It’s quite an over-whelming and anxious feeling to be in a completely new city, all by your own. On one hand I was trying to adapt to the surroundings and on the other cope with the course that I had chosen to study. At times I’d feel myself to not be competent enough, feel pangs of low self-esteem and insecurity and on top of that cry to sleep for being away from the family. But as they say, everything has a good side to it. Staying on your own teaches you a lot of things and most importantly, to be responsible, strong and taking care of the self. Today as I look back at the past three years of my life, all I feel is gratitude. Gratitude to all the mistakes, the heartbreaks, the small wins and the big losses. Without any of it, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I write, dance and am happy to be pursuing something I love doing. It doesn’t matter if you decide to back-out from one thing and go for something else at the very last moment. Because 30 years down the line it won’t matter what course you studied or where you studied from, what would matter is whether or not you’re happy.

Put together a bunch of second years and hand them "Straight out of school" kids, with all kinds of different choices and opinions. Yes, this was the same situation our 9 seniors had found themselves in, a year back, who were put into the shoes of being not just the seniors but also the 'core team' of CRUNK with a dozen responsibilities of management, leadership and what not. But kudos to these extremely enthusiast and beautiful humans for courageously taking upon those tough sitches of not just handling the chaos, but also making this journey all the more special. 🙌

You guys have seen us at our worse yet, you never gave up on us, indeed you helped us grow in ways that far exceeded any of our imaginations. You made us overcome all our issues so smoothly, be it of our personal life or society life.❤️🔥
It's hard to put into words how much we all owe you for making it possible for us to learn, to grow and to be the better version of us, all in one single year.⚡

Last but not the least, THANK YOU for bearing our tantrums and stubbornness so patiently. THANK YOU for teaching us the same step a hundred times so patiently. THANK YOU for being the sweetest seniors one could get. With you, tough times were a little more bearable and happy memories were a little more than zillion ones added.💫

Teamwork begins by building trust ! One thing that I took the longest to understand . Crunk is not a name it's a place , it's a feel ,it's an experience ,it's hardwork ,it's an opportunity ,it's a privelage at last our crib. I have experienced a lot of good things plus bad things but I regret none . CRUNK is no more just a team it's a family and will always hold a special place in my heart .
