Director Files Entry: The Art Of Doing✨

It’s been relatively 3 years since I entered this field of creativity and reflecting back, God has been doing good to me.

I’ve acting in over 10 productions, directed 4 plays, was stage manager for 3 plays, prop manager for one major production, wrote and directed my own solo production play and finally this year, had my play selected in the line up for Shortales.

Not only is it a honor but to be able to audition and be casted in two plays as well for the festival is even more heartwarming. I don’t think anyone has done all three (act, direct and write) in Shorttales history so I am excited that I accomplished that.

I thank God everyday for giving me the able to do, the thirst for more and the stability to work steadfast towards goals that aren’t far out of reach.

God will forever allow me to function in my fullest capacity.

Check out this years line up over at @shakespeareinparadise and stay tune to @wywo.studios to see when I’m having my next show🧡✨

Dear You,

On behalf of Progress, we are writing to you all with a heart full of gratitude following our screening and panel discussion at The Center on Friday night for National Minority Mental Health Month

Seeing this project in front of an engaged, active room was a powerful reminder of why we set out to make PROGRESS in the first place. What we shared with the audience wasn’t just a screening; it was a deeply human conversation rooted in truth, vulnerability, and community.

Beyond the screening itself, the dialogue that unfolded during our panel discussion alongside Dr. Keosha T. Bond, Dr Martez D. Smith, Byrd Olivieri, Brenda Polanco, Miller, and Tristien Marcellous Winfree underscored just how vital and timely this story is. Hearing how the audience connected with the work, asked searching questions, and reflected on their own stories proved that the impact of PROGRESS extends far beyond the screen.

This series is a testament to what we can build when we bring our whole selves to the work. None of this happens in a vacuum, and none of it happens without each of you.

A special thanks to our panelist @drkeoshabond @drkeoshabond @itsbrendapolanco @claridadwellness @millerjeverette @tmarcellousw @byrdolivieriatelier
