Oh Emsworth… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — this little town is in my blood and I absolutely LOVE it 💙

Only in Emsworth could you look out of the market window and casually spot a giant turtle in the Square 🐢😂 And honestly… that rather sums this town up perfectly. Quirky, kind, community-spirited and full of the most wonderful people.

I love this photo I took of Barbara and Linda looking so earnestly at the turtle. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

A huge shoutout to lovely Linda, who spent the day selling jigsaws to raise money for @brentlodgewildlife — giving up her time for both @emsworthloveslocal and such an incredible charity. People quietly doing good things for others everywhere you turn 💛

And as always, my favourite part of the day was the chatting. Proper chatting. The kind where you completely lose track of time.

I loved my sea glass conversation with Molly and Peter, Sharon @oscars_pantry thank you for your kindness and love of my work, and Mark for being so amazing at grabbing people in! Alex, Gracie and Buddy… you are DEFINITELY my kind of people 💙
@riverandtidedesigns I LOVED having you there, and @meglfaulknerart your colourful personality and gorgeous pics brightened the room!

Thank you also to @tropicwithannette for propping me up as ever, Barbara for your brilliantly unique customer service techniques 😂, @therightscentcandles for acting as my pharmacist, and @chocolatebakesandlittlecakes for being such a warm soul and helping keep me insulated by way of pecan and milk chocolate shortbreads!

Days like this remind me why small markets matter so much. Community, kindness, laughter, connection… and apparently turtles 🐢💙

I have recently sanded down both my coffee table and sideboard, then coated it with a clear wax to give the natural wooden look! Looking back at photos and wow - I just LOVE the difference it’s made😍
