Two rooms. One powerful story. 📖✨ This week, we hosted Tiki Davis along with @riverchildmedia for two memorable events honoring his book, The Tiki Factor. The first took place at York College, followed by Friendship Baptist Church in Harlem. Both spaces felt intimate, the sort of rooms where every word lands and each “mmhm” or “yes!” echoes through the air. Tiki Davis, a figure of grounded warmth, shared his truth. He answered questions with confidence, listened closely, and highlighted those who supported him. That truth carries weight. As the audience absorbed what he had overcome and achieved, the awe was palpable. People were moved and inspired. They left feeling a bit taller than when they arrived. 🙌🏾 This is why we continue our work: connecting authors and community so stories become more than words on a page. Thank you to York College and Friendship Baptist Church for welcoming us, and to everyone who came out to show love. 🤎 Ready for your own copy? Get The Tiki Factor by Tiki Davis through Loc’d & Lit. WE’RE IN NEW YORK FOR THE WEEK! Our first stop when we arrived was Friendship Baptist Church, where we broke bread with Dr. Kilgore, Dr. Mason, and their wonderful church family as they celebrated their church anniversary. It’s always good to connect with people. Whether it’s a congregation of 30,000 or fewer than 100, churches like Friendship Baptist are the cornerstones of our communities—helping hold families and neighborhoods together. The Tiki Factor wants to give a special thank you to Riverchild Media for inviting me into her church home and allowing me to fellowship with this amazing community. And we’re coming back! Thursday, October 22, from 6:00–9:00 PM, we’ll be with the community for a special Tiki Factor book signing! 📚🙏🏾 Through everything you do, keep God in it. Because whether I’ve said it enough or not, I know I’m only standing today by the grace of the Most High God. New York, we’re just getting started. THE TIKI FACTOR.
