There is a quiet poetry to the way life unfolds.

So many times I have wished for my mom during this pregnancy. But then I remember the bittersweet reality. If she hadn't gotten sick, if she hadn't left us earthside, I wouldn't have found this path or my person.

I’m not usually someone who believes that everything happens for a reason. But standing here now, I know that without my hardest chapters, I wouldn't have my person, our family, or this life. I couldn't have had my mom and all of this at the same time - and accepting that has given me a strange kind of peace. It was meant to unfold just as it did.

It’s given me the strength to carry both deep grief and immense joy in the very same hand. Sometimes we have to surrender to the poetic nature of our own human experience.

You are the best person I’ve ever met - selfless, kind, loving, and truly my best friend. I love the little life we’ve built together and the family we’re growing.

Our start was a bit chaotic thanks to my whirlwind life, but somehow we always found our way through it together. It feels like we’re finally hitting our stride and moving toward all the things we’ve dreamed about side by side.

I already know you’re going to be the best boy dad, and I can’t wait for this next chapter with you.
