Taking some time off this week, so no commentary, just the key who, what, when and where for this week's bookish events! I'm already signed up for a few of these events. Anybody else?!?

Hi friends!

Anime ink was CRAZY! So many new and familiar faces, beautiful art all around, some not so beautiful (ai garbage), but I am reminded how grateful I am to be able to show up and share treats with y'all. I had to take a day to recover, I was so tired.

BUT

Guess what time it is?

BAKES BETWEEN FRIENDS!

This month, we're showing up a little differently with help from our friends @riverlightreads and @belladonnabookcoven !

Here's the low-down:

🗓️Oct 29
🎟️$20 RSVP
🕚6:00-8:00
🍰Bakeswap with Cake Between Friends
📖Bookswap with River Light Reads
🪡🖌️Spooky crafts with Bella Donna Book Coven
🍺Half pour of your choice and snacks from our hosts @benchtopbrewing_rva

It's a full house, but the spooky season demands it!

What should you bake? Make it ooey, gooey, gorey! Bake up a ghost 👻 or a witch's spell 🧙. Make something scary cute! As always, have fun with it!

As always, link in the bio for rsvp-ing.

Looking forward to seeing the ghouls within you all; let's have fun and hang!

If you're seeing this, it's my *15th* time trying to upload this. Thwarted time and time again! And during Banned Books Week? Events start today and tomorrow (although most were already highlighted in previous weeks). Pics and organization/bookstore tags in the pics starting on slide 4!

💌 @monday.morning.creative for showing up on the big day, that’s priceless
🍷 @bramblypark one of my favorite spots in RVA, means so much to launch here
👭🏼 My friends and family who’ve supported this journey

Kona’s first book truck!! 🤩

@paperbackparlorbooks launched her book truck, Mosey, at @bramblypark today and it was an awesome event!! ✨ what you can expect:
- curated selection of romance, fantasy, thriller, and other reads
- bookish goodies! candles, kindle cases, kindle grips, adorable bags
- a woman business owner who’s always down to discuss books!
- probably some dogs too, since she’ll have dog treats on standby at dog-friendly venues 🤭

Kona begged some dog treats out of Danielle and her husband and also got a pup cup from a nice Brambly employee 🤭

AND we got to see sooo many @riverlightreads book club friends who showed up and showed out, along with some other friendly faces including @alltheradreads + @lflhunter_rva.

Such a great event, and be sure to keep an eye out for Paperback Parlor’s upcoming events now that she’s officially on wheels 🤭🩵

Richmond has one of the best book scenes in Virginia with tons of independent bookstores and a strong desire to get the people reading. It was about time it got its own book event! 🩷💛

Adding my photos to the bunch for the first ever @richmondbookaffair 📖🫶🏻🧚🏻

This was a fantastic event that introduced me to some amazing new authors and allowed me to hang with some new and old book besties! Thank you to @riverlightreads for taking charge of a very well thought out experience, and I hope this event will continue to expand and grow in the future! I can’t wait to come back next year!
