These goals once stood on the fields of Venice, Riverview, and Sarasota High. Different colors. Different sidelines. Plenty of rivalry.

But when it comes to growing lacrosse in Sarasota, we’re all on the same team.

Now these goals get a second life with the Kraken — taking thousands more shots from the next generation of players coming up behind them.

Florida State University ‘32 💛❤️ I am so excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Florida State University to play Division I lacrosse.

First and foremost, I want to thank God, because without Him, none of this would have been possible. Next I want to thank my family for everything. Mom, my best friend thank you for traveling with me to every tournament, every long car ride, and everything in between. I will be forever grateful for all the time, love, and support you have given me throughout this journey. To my Dad, thank you for sacrificing so much of your time to go outside and play catch with me, teaching me everything I know in this sport, for never missing a game, and for always being there for me. I appreciate you more than you know.

To my sister Maria, my built-in training buddy, thank you for putting up with me when we go out and shoot, even though we somehow end up yelling at each other over a bad pass almost every time. I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side. Hank, thank you for being the best younger brother and for being along for the ride and always being there for me.

Coach Heather, Coach Janine, and Coach Tom, thank you for giving me the opportunity to compete, believing in me, and always pushing me to achieve everything I set my mind to. To Ann, thank you for leading me to where I am today and giving me the best opportunities possible, i couldn’t have done this without you. To my team and my best friends, thank you for being the best support system and the best 20 sisters I could ever ask for. I truly would not be where I am today without you guys.

To my trainers I have worked with for so long and who made me the athlete I am today, Torey, Frank, Vance, Cara, and Jay, I am beyond thankful.

Finally, to Coach Tisdale, Coach Clark, Coach Plaskey, and Coach Forrest, thank you for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime and believing in me. I am so grateful to be a part of this program, and I cannot wait to see all of the incredible things we will accomplish together.
