POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For one weekend, a patch of the Mojave turned into a small town with its own stage. Rigs lined up like front porches, kids ran the campground, dogs ran the kids, and the campfires burned well past the last encore. The full STO Fest recap is up on our YouTube channel now.

To our presenting sponsors @mercedesbenzvansusa and @gibsonguitar, plus @giant_rv, @warnindustries, @livewireev, @kchilites, @johnson_rv, @icecofreezer, @conejo_rv, @rixens_enterprises_inc, @howlcampfires, @bfgoodrichtires, @roambuilt, @liquidspring, OE Wheel Works, @continental_tire, @generalrvcenter and @overlandexpo: you’re the reason there was a stage to gather around. Thank you for making the weekend possible.

And to our partners Gibson Gives, @thejessicombsfoundation and @babesinthedirt, thanks for showing up for this community.

Same time next year? Oct 14–17, 2027. STOFest.com.

Thursday we roll into the high desert for STO Fest, and these are the people who helped get us there.

Mercedes-Benz and Gibson, along with Giant RV, WARN, LiveWire, KC HiLiTES, Johnson RV, ICECO, Conejo RV, Rixen’s, HOWL Campfires, BFGoodrich, RoamBuilt, LiquidSpring, OE Wheel Works, Continental and General RV Center. Thank you for helping us put a music festival in the middle of the Mojave.

Oct 15–18 at Lasertown in Johnson Valley, CA. Learning labs and a vendor village by day. Two bands a night on the Gibson Stage, then the campfires. You don’t need a Storyteller to come. Bring the kids. Bring the dog.

Registration is still open at STOFest.com

On the way north to photograph the Life Time Grand Prix at Chequamegon, I had to make a little pilgrimage.

Rixen’s Enterprises — Mothership East — Wisconsin edition. 😂

Same Rixen’s Mothership heater TLC that kept the van warm out in Oregon, now a whole lot closer to home.

Because apparently when you live in a Sprinter, you start making roadside pilgrimages 😂. #LifeTimeGrandPrix #ChequamegonMTB #VanLife #CyclingPhotography #RixensEnterprises

Power that goes wherever you do. ⚡

Far past cell service, @ARB4x4, @BattleBornBatteries, @DiodeDynamics, @REDARC_Electronics and @Rixens_Enterprises_Inc keep the 2026 Ultimate Overland Vehicle running strong. On-demand air, dependable off-grid power and lighting that owns the dark. A power panel to track every watt, plus a heater and shower for real comfort at camp.

A capable truck is one thing. A self-sufficient basecamp is another.

This build will be auctioned on Bring a Trailer this fall, with all proceeds supporting the @OverlandExpoFoundation.

What matters most on your builds?

RoamRest couch-style cushions.
Organic latex-topped queen mattress.
Heated floors.
Evictus suspension.
Luxurious countertops.
Infinity shower.
Acoustic ceiling.
A soft, warm color palette throughout.

Every material, texture, and detail was chosen around one thing: how it feels to actually live in the space.

This is, by far, the nicest van to simply be inside of.
