I was pretty skeptical about trying hip-hop at first. It wasn't that I didn't like the style, I wasn't sure I could attempt it.

And honestly, it still is challenging! But the way this workshop was taught, combined with the song and choreography, made it feel possible. I forgot a few steps here and there, but I walked away with something much more valuable which is the confidence that maybe I can do this style.

As they say, never say never. You don't really know until you try.

We usually record videos at the end for instagram and post our best takes, but this was my very first attempt, complete with mistakes, forgotten steps, and those expressions of desperately trying to remember what comes next 😅. I wanted to keep this one raw because it's a reminder to start doing the things you think you'll never try.

A huge thank you to @mihir0210 for being such an amazing teacher throughout the workshop and for the awesome choreography. And @beyondbollywoodnl only onwards and upwards from here ❤️🙌

Returning to movement with @rkalvade after 2 years 🤍

Sajdaa was explored in a seated form, built from my original standing choreography, and developed together in real time through small movements and responses, allowing it to naturally shift and flow ✨
It was such a joy to share this process with Reshma ~

“Sajdaa” means to bow in devotion 🦚
We tried to bring that feeling into the dance ~ through softness, presence, and connection.

What. A. Night. 💃✨
All the dancers under one roof — and not only did we break the ice, we smashed it into confetti and danced on it! 😏

From non-stop grooving to answering those deliciously awkward personal questions (you know the ones 👀) — we laughed, we opened up, and we let our guards waltz right out the door.

Here’s to many more nights like this — because we’re not just dancing, we’re building a real community, one beat at a time.

Thank you for showing up, showing off, and showing love. You’ve truly touched our hearts (and maybe our funny bone). ❤️

With love,

Some moments deserve more than a quick post. This AfroDesi experience was one of those ✨ enjoy the compilation! Azonto from Ghana mixed with Desi flair ~ it felt bold, powerful, and honestly? So much fun 🌸

As someone who loves teaching, it felt really special to be in the student’s shoes again. I’m learning to enjoy the process, to be open, and to just move without overthinking. I am thankful for this workshop, and for everyone who made it so warm and welcoming:
👩🏻‍🏫 @natasha.sherpa ~ your energy, humor and kindness made all the difference
📆 @rkalvade & @mihir0210 from @worldofrmoves for organizing this magic
🥰 @ouafa.d.x for dancing and laughing with me

These moments inspire me to keep growing, to try new styles and to enjoy every step of the journey 🍀
