Most of the time, I'd rather be quilting, or reading, or painting, or spending time with my granddaughter and family.

D.E. Stevenson- NEW to Me! 🤩✨📚
*
I bought four books for my slowly growing DES collection and I 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 them! 😍
*
In 2020, 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 was a 5🌟 read for me and now I have two more 5🌟 books to add!
*
𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝗳𝗲 (𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘐 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘌𝘺𝘳𝘦) was the most amazing novel. The characters (especially Kit Stone, Mardie, Dr. Peabody and Dolly) are WONDERFUL!! I love the day-to-day English village activities and gossip, the hint of a cozy Scotland “vacation”, the witty conversations, the love story and so much more.
*
If you love vintage novels with small village doctors, talented young children, uncertain love, tennis matches and a short visit to a charming cottage in Scotland, this book is for you!
*
𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝗼./𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲 𝗠𝗲 had the most adorable poems!! This children’s collection is now a firm favorite! Every poem brought a smile to my face. It was a joy to read, especially before bed. 🥰
*
I’m looking forward to reading 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗰 next—there are short stories, plays, verses, talks on books and family photographs included. Thrilled to have this 3rd Greyladies book in my library, especially after my 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 book gift from @carosbookcase ! Woo!
*
Tagging friends who I think love D.E. Stevenson as much as I do! 🤩

Happy Wednesday, Friends!! Thinking of you and sending you lots of love 💕❄️🤗❄️💕

Thanks to my mother the quilter for getting me this gig. I'm looking forward to sharing my work with a new audience and demonstrating some letter carving. Love the creative spirit in this room. Lots of amazing quilts!
