Drove home through @sunygeneseo at a rolling stop because I had a ticket to a show at 5pm and needed to get home—but saw all my high-ticket locations and got an Aunt Cookie’s Sub for the ride. It still tastes the same!!!! Guess I’m gonna have to drive back up more often #classof92 @rlkgeneseo @rlkalumni @bigtreeinngeneseo @visitgeneseo

Storybook hike! Literally felt like I was a participant in one of my favorite books A WALK IN THE WOODS by Bill Bryson #awalkinthewoods

What started out as a very solitary and HUMID hike ended with me meeting a real life @appalachiantrail through hiker. 🎉

I’ve walked this piece of the AT before but walking a couple miles and talking with “Fritos” made it feel real. So much fun hanging out with one of the nicest humans on the planet 🌎

Fritos got his trail nickname from cutting off the tops of too-tight shoes. Free Toes 😆 He got on the trail in GA and has been walking for about 3 1/2 months. Total badassery! He was fast! And I think I did pretty good keeping pace since I’m a lot shorter.

Fritos is also from Buffalo and thats how we figured out we’re both @sunygeneseo Grads!!!! Hilarious. 😆 Obviously we were not there at the same time BUT…he has a friend in @rlkgeneseo @rlkalumni so he had to hear me blather on about how I was in the RLK inaugural class. He said…”they have this dance—to Oh What a ‘KNIGHT’“ And I’m like—hold up son—I CHOREOGRAPHED THAT DANCE!!!! I also wrote the poem on their recent shirt! 😆

And if you thought we would then run out of things to talk about—well you would be wrong. 🤓 We both write and are avid readers. I was even able to give him a signed copy of TOUCHING THE SURFACE when he hiked past my car to tonight’s shelter.

And when I told him I was going home to do my cold plunge—you guessed it—he does #whm too!!! @iceman_hof @emmaestrela79 It’s a small and delightful world and I’m grateful to live on it. ❤️

Before we parted I commented how hard the universe had to work for us to cross paths and Fritos laughed—I guess that’s why I broke my phone—if I hadn’t I would have been 20 miles ahead of you and we never would have met. Thank you Universe. 🌟 Good luck Fritos! Can’t wait for my trail updates.

Also—just to be clear—even when I only had three dry inches on my body after hiking in the heat and humidity—that cold plunge was still REALLY cold.🥶 But it felt great on the other side. And the red leaf? Just me pretending it’s almost fall and I can bundle up for my hikes. 😆 #appalachiantrail #touchingthesurface

Huge thank you to all of our past and present Greek life members who joined us for our annual alumni dinner.

A night like this is the perfect reminder that our community is so much bigger than our individual organizations, it’s built on lasting connections that extend far beyond Geneseo.

Greek roots run deep 🪴

Greek life isn't just about letters, it's about the lifelong friendships that go beyond them!

Inter-Greek relations show that the best part of Greek life is the friends we make across chapters.

Building connections, supporting one another, and celebrating the bonds that unite us all💙
