𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 / 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

No big speeches or polished plans—just a chance to hear the hopes and dreams our neighbors have for these streets at the 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 hub powered by @urbanleague_charlotte. This first gathering was about making sure the people who live here are the ones actually shaping what comes next.

It’s a quiet start, but it’s how real grows. Grateful for everyone who stopped by to talk and for those coming next time.

This summer, I had the honor of walking alongside a group of young men as they stepped into the start of their college journey. Together, we created space for honest reflection, explored identity beyond titles and achievements, and challenged one another to lead with clarity and purpose.

Through deep conversations and shared experiences, these young men identified their values, named their strengths, and began shaping a vision for who they are becoming. The result was a strong sense of community and a commitment to living with integrity.

They leave this experience ready to write the next chapter—with confidence, courage, and conviction.

This past year was about embracing accountability, letting go of old definitions of success, and learning that my worth isn’t tied to titles or external validation. Thank you to my friends and family for loving me through the mess, for reminding me that vulnerability is strength, and for helping me rediscover my purpose. Here’s to growth, resilience, and the power of community-my true foundation and the reason I get to dream again. Cheers to 28✨

Thank you for allowing me to be your guide! Last week, I had the privilege of leading an inspiring group from Long Beach, California, as we explored schools and museums to deepen our understanding of Black identity and the ongoing journey toward educational empowerment. Drawing from powerful stories of resilience and self-expression, we reflected on how clothing, culture, and community have shaped Black students’ experiences over time. From Howard to Harvard, your curiosity and thoughtful engagement made this journey truly memorable. Until next time, keep embracing the legacy and forging new paths forward!

Today, I guided bright young minds through a workshop on community impact. We explored the essence of community, identified safe spaces for growth, and developed project plans for the Youth Impact Fund.

To every visionary aged 14-18: Your ideas matter. Your voice is powerful. The Youth Impact Fund is your opportunity to transform thoughts into real change. Submit your proposals and let’s elevate Charlotte together.

Together, we’re proving that you’re never too young to lead and never too old to learn. Let’s make a difference.

Today’s conversation was a blast, diving into the diverse parts that shape our foundation. Family connections, to me, encompass blood relatives, cherished friendships, invaluable mentors, vibrant community involvement, and the essential practice of self-care. It takes a village to raise a child and a child to acknowledge the village. #FamilyConnections #VillageSupport #Gratitude

Engaging hearts and minds at Independence HS this morning! We dived into the real talk about healthy decision-making, the dangers of vaping, and substance abuse. Not your usual morning gathering, but the impact was all there. Grateful for the insightful conversations and interactive activities. It’s not just about making waves, but making wise choices. #SubstanceAbuseAwareness #YouthEmpowerment #SpeakingEngagement
