Well… this weekend was the final race of the 2026 season, and although it was not a good day, this race does not show the amount of work, time, and passion that have been put into this year. I have learned so much over the last 5 months whether it be new tracks, setup knowledge, or driving conditions. There have been so many people that I have met and raced against that I would have never met without this sport.
In the practices we showed amazing pace, running the 3rd fastest lap with no draft, leaving me feeling fairly confident for qualifying. In qualifying, I was running very well until I made a small mistake, which caused me to let some drivers by, resulting in me getting pushed into the wall and bending my axle very badly.
Although I wrecked out of qualifying, I still managed to qualify 3rd for race 1. In race 1, I had an amazing start, but since we had to rebuild the whole rear end of the kart, we did not remember to check if the clutch was ok, causing it to slip very badly resulting in me having my 2nd DNF of the day. This meant I would be starting dead last in the final, 11th place on the grid. In the final race, I was able to move up 5 positions to 6th place, unfortunately losing the draft to the pack in front.
Once again I would like to thank everyone who has helped me this season. Thank you @rms_kart for helping me improve so much this season, and for giving me a flying engine every time I was out on track. One more thank you to all of my sponsors for making all of this possible: #aronschurkestatefarm #mcinnisautomotiveservice and #219realty

FIRST 206 RACE!

I attended round 5 of the KCA Karting challenge to compete in the ignite senior class for the first time with @rms_kart and we killed it!

It was a fully wet day, and we were mandated wet tires so we switched the kart setup over to a wet setup and in practice one absolutely crushed it. 5 tenths up on the open 206 class and first in class. We decided to save the wet tires for quali and switched to some older wet tires for practice two. In quali I was all alone with no one around for draft and qualified second. For the heat, I was sitting in second for most of the race just waiting for a chance, and p1 made a mistake and I capitalized and got into first, but then came up of traffic and I had to go low into the rubber and got washed wide losing the position, but kept second. For the final, I was leading most of the race until about lap 12 when the track started drying up and I over heated my tires which allowed for p2 to capitalize, passing me with 3 laps to go. And overall getting second in my first gas karting race. Sad that I gave it away but still proud!

Thank you so much to my mechanic Mike for giving me tons of tips and being super helpful! Couldn't do it with out him! And thank you @james_rcndz77 for all the support and providing the kart and an insane engine package! Congrats to @loganm_racing for a podium finish aswell!

Elkhart Grand Prix 26”

Good and bad, but honestly? Very, very happy. This weekend proved something to me again — another podium in the books, starting to feel like consistency is finally clicking.

Senior Sportsman ran great — finished P2 of 18 Started the feature on pole, made a quick mistake and dropped back to P5, but didn’t let it rattle me — fought my way back up. That’s the stuff I’m proud of just as much as the result.

Senior class had me mid-pack — finished P8 of 25, which isn’t bad at all considering I got caught up in a couple of wrecks and bottlenecks in turn 1 that took me out of a top-5 run. Frustrating in the moment, but I walked away having learned so much about what I can do differently, especially in the open class here at Elkhart. Every weekend I pick up something new, and it’s the kind of thing that just makes me faster the next time out.

This is my favorite race of the year, hands down, and this one meant even more being at my home track. Huge thank you to my sponsors and everyone who made this weekend possible — @munger21005 and his family, @hydrolite68 , @robsters.jpg and everyone who helped get the kart ready, fast, and got the photos and GoPro footage that captured it all. Couldn’t do this without you.

Super happy with the results. Here’s to bringing home a win at the historic Elkhart Grand Prix next year, at my home event. 🏆

A standout night yesterday for RMS in Springfield, Illinois. Multiple class podiums and a feature victory. A few team members missed this photo shot, but there are many people who make RMS what it is today and couldn’t be more thankful. Let’s keep grinding!!! 🔥🏁

Thank you to all drivers, families, mechanics and partners.

Elkhart Grand Prix. August 7th-8th Presented by @sirakarting

This one means everything. A street circuit in my own backyard, one of the most historic races in karting, and a track I know and love. Every time I come back to Elkhart I’m better than before and this year is no different.

Coming in off the strongest stretch of racing I’ve had all season — a championship lead, a win, and momentum that keeps building. I genuinely believe a podium is there. A win is there. The work has been put in and now it’s time to show it on the biggest stage of my season.

A special thank you to NAPA Auto Parts — this is your home race and I’m proud to represent you here in Elkhart.

KCA Round 3. P1. First win since 2021. And now leading the championship standings.
@kartcircuitacc

The heat race was a thriller. Started second, got shuffled back to third, fought my way back to the lead with 5 laps to go using traffic and knowing I had the gearing to set up the perfect pass. Held on by .034 to second and .098 to third in a three way drag to the finish line. One of the best battles I’ve had on track, but a bad qualifying session should have never put me in that position to begin with.

Made the right adjustments between the heat race and the final, listened to what the kart was telling me and it paid off. 22 laps later I had 7.7 seconds on the field. When everything clicks this is what it looks like.

Huge thank you to my sponsors for making all of this possible!
