UNCOMFORTABLE— was my word for 2023, because you don’t grow in your comfort zone. This year was filled with many moments of discomfort, but that’s how I knew I was growing! As much as I love my routines, planners, & to-do lists, some of my favorite moments this year came from stepping out of my comfort zone, being open to new experiences, & allowing room for spontaneity! Here are some ~highlights~ from my year of being comfortable with the uncomfortable: 1. Wrapped up my 4th year as an Aerie Ambassador—which was the first brand that served as a catalyst to content creation for me 🥺 2. Asked my Dad to be my reading partner but he said no!! This was a blessing in disguise because I started a book club with my friends instead. 3. Set a goal of finishing 6 books this year. Thanks to all my book club friends, I finished 9 📚 And I plan to up this # for the new year! 4. This was the year of shows & festivals for me. @beyondwlandpnw was my first time at the gorge. 5. Going to @lifeisbeautiful was kind of a last min decision for me but ended up being the highlight of my year. I had to see @thegr8khalid !! 6. Taking dance classes with @youcanshufflewithus has been the most uncomfortable, yet rewarding experience for me this year! I’m proud of how my mindset around dancing has developed for the better. 7. ANYONE CAN DANCE!! Dancing in the chipotle parking lot with my friends is now a core memory 🤍 8. I filmed for @cut & @codyko now knows I exist!! Truly a dream come true. 9. I got to travel so much this year! I went to California (x4), Vegas, NOLA, Singapore, & the Philippines!! 10. I actually posted 10 YouTube videos this year!! My Mom’s garden tour is my most viewed video for the year & I’m so glad I got to share her passion with the internet. I hope you can find some time today to acknowledge how an uncomfortable moment this year contributed towards your growth! My word for 2024 is CONSISTENCY! Happy New Year everyone!
