Thank you, Vancouver. 🙏

My last Canadian Optimist Championship at @royalvanyc was a week I’ll always be grateful for. I was lucky to have things go my way, with six wins in qualifying and 16 net points over ten races (1-1-1-1-1-1-7-2-18-1). It was my fourth Canadian title, and I’m proud to be the first sailor to win four.

Team racing with Reid LaRoche, Oliver Worthington and Sophie Carroll was a highlight. I’m so proud of our RNSYS team for winning the national team racing title, the Squadron’s fourth in a row. Along with the US Nationals this summer, I’ve now been part of nine national championships, and I owe each one to the people around me.

Receiving the Cross Perpetual Trophy for sportsmanship, along with top boy and top overall, is an honour I never expected. The sportsmanship award means the most to me.

None of this happens without RVYC, CODA, the race committee, the judges and the volunteers who gave up their time to make this week happen. To all 131 competitors, thank you for the great racing and the friendships. Special thanks to Andi Kinnear, Charlie Simms, Madeline Singer, Fede Donzino and Roberto Fabiani. And getting to share the Gold Fleet with my sister Annie made it extra special. She has been with me from the very beginning.

Thank you for an amazing Opti career, Canada. 🇨🇦

That’s a wrap on an incredible 2026 WASZP season! 🤙

🥇 WASZP Americas
🥇 WASZP North American Championships
🥇 WASZP Canadian National Championships
6️⃣ WASZP World Championships
4️⃣ WASZP All Stars

Couldn’t have asked for a better season, finishing 4th at All Stars racing against the best of the best! Super grateful for how this year turned out and all the experiences along the way.

Huge thanks to @wecanfoil and @rnsys for the support throughout the year, @wpgcanada for the amazing gear, my friends and training partners, and most of all my family for their unwavering support. ❤️

Time for a winter reset before an exciting 2027 season, with Worlds in Garda as the main goal! I’ll also be back racing with @qsailing, chasing CICSA Nationals and hopefully a spot at ICSA Fleet Race Nationals. Lots more to come on the collegiate front!
