Hi peeps, dudes and dudettes... This was supposed to be posted on May 02, 24 to mark the 222 days since my last IG post, but life decided to take hard left turn... Before this date, I've been having plans and ideas for content creation - projects that are seeming to become concrete with each day that passed... I was ecstatic for what my twin and I were coming up with... She is teaching me how to become a better model and photographer (see slides 4 and 5. She may have posted in her IG as well πŸ€”) and I'm showing her how to plan and execute concepts and design ideas for clothing... I'm still dabbling in freelancing, serving as a consultant for @_themenz and @unitedbyfury ... I'm actually finishing personal projects (sorry, no picts! πŸ˜… BUTT there's an upcoming project inspired by @minazhao.studio sheering technique!! Slides 6 and 7)... My handwritten notes further explains my life updates before May 02 ... But since that date, major life shift... Highlights of the written notes: 1) I'm back in school 2) The blog is no more (challenges up keeping it and $$$) 3) Collaborating with @ro.gue.ish 4) Current work situation At a later post I'll update that major life shift. Just not ready to share... Hope everyone is enjoying their memorial day weekend... Until then. ✌🏽+πŸ’š, Ozzy War

Sew... Who is Ozzy War? πŸ€” 1st of, thanks for following!! Secondly, welcome to my IG and 1st post! πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸ˜¬ Before we dive into who I am, I want to give some perspective on why I started this IG. As you can see in my bio, I want to share my journey of rebuilding my closet by making the clothes myself 😬 You *read* that right. Ima sew my clothes from scratch, baby! 😎 This is something I always wanted to do ever since I gained interest in sewing... More on my sewing and fashion background later *next post, actually* ... I want to rebuild my closet with the effort of being more sustianable as a consumer as well to put the same practice as a fashion designer by using dead-stock fabric, ecofriendly materials and support local vendors within the states. For my 1st post, I'll introduce myself and hopefully we can get aquatinted through this platform... (I also have Pinterest if you're interested in seeing what I'm inspired by 😬 link in bio...) Anywho. Let's point out the obvious as you slide left: 1) I'm an identical twin πŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸ€β€πŸ‘©πŸ½ (meet @ro_gue.jpeg @byrosieguerra ... yes, she's also a creative in her own right!) 2) I was a bit of an awkward kid... still am as an adult πŸ™ƒ and , 3) you can say I have "style"... Right?? πŸ˜… You be the judge (but be nice). Actually, some of the outfits in this post was sewn by my grandma, who is a big influence. Grandma didn't sew all of my clothing, only the special ocassion ones (like the X-Mas outfit? I was pretty darn pleased with it... Get at me, son! πŸ˜‡ ), but seeing how she took fabric and created a garment based on the skills she has was the coolest thing on earth... and still is to this day. I want to thank you (yes, you! πŸ‘‡πŸ½), again, for following and showing support! Check the next posts to learn more about my sewing and fashion background and what my aesthetic is. πŸ€— ....THANKS AGAIN! I AM FORERVER GREATFUL! ✌🏽&πŸ’š Ozzy War

Sew... Who Is Ozzy War? part deux. Hi again. You made it to the 2nd post! 😎 Let's talk about sewing and fashion and how it all started... Well, like I mentioned on previous post, my interest started at a early age. Seeing grandma making dresses for my twin and I was an exciting experience and I wanted to learn EVERYTHANG! However, I was too awkard and shy and nervous to ask. I caved in one day, asked and she politely said no because I was too young to handle her sewing machine... I was 8 yo πŸ‘§πŸ½. I understood at the time, continued appreciating the skill and vowed myself that once I was old enough to learn that I would take the cojones to take a class. Fast forward 8-9 years later, Junior year of HS ended and I was planning for my college career, and the most obvious choice for me was Fashion Design... While in HS, I did research on the industry as well as the history of fashion and thought this is the ideal career for me (and I was not wrong 😎... see next post)... During my research, I saw the importance of knowing the basics of sewing skills in order to get in at F.I.T. (*spoiler alert*, I didn't get in but had the opportunity to take some courses at F.I.T.!) since this was also the other obvious school of choice at the time. This was my chance to take sewing courses to apply to fashion school. And it happened. I took a sewing class in the summer before my senior year, and that was the best decision I have made in my life. πŸ₯° As time went by, I was able to design and make my prom dress (yas! I was one of those! I even adjuested Rosie's prom dress, so boom!), did a mini collection for @NewUrbanArts "End of Year" art party, and other fun projects for college. Anywho, thanks for staying and reading and getting to know me a bit more. I hope you enjoy the next post as much! ✌🏽&πŸ’š Ozzy War

ANOTHER WIP πŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸŽ¨ . I’ve been more zen lately, learning to be more patient, having more faith. Allowing the Universe take it’s course, and so far things are falling into place πŸ™πŸ½ This portrait, is a reflection of how I was feeling at the time I drew it a few months ago, in January. I was lost, disoriented, not knowing what to do with my photography, what message I should convey through my art, and how I should brand myself on social media, (also a lot of personal issues that I rather not share) It’s why I created a separate account @picsbyrosieg , just for my photography work. Edit: I tend to utilize my own photography work as a layout for me to draw/color/paint. For this one, I used a portrait I took of @bllankscriptt I like to exaggerate certain facial and body features, and using my own facial features on the subject (i.e. eyebrows and beauty mark). The reason I do this, is because I see myself within each subject. I love using colors to convey different emotions or moods. As you can see, with this one, the colors are saturated and all over the place, in circles. . I have exciting things coming up. Stay tuned through my STORY & FEED to find out what’s about... #NewNew #ComingSoon . . . #art #popart #portrait #photographer #visualartist #trusttheprocess #byrosieguerra
