This week, Donna and I had the privilege of hosting the ETSU Roan Scholars and the Student Foundation Ambassadors. Whether serving their communities, mentoring others, or sharing the ETSU story, these students are making a meaningful impact on our campus and beyond. It is wonderful to see our campus humming with activity and excitement this week as we prepare to start Fall classes next week. One of the highlights of my day was spending time with this amazing incoming Roan Scholars Class of 2030. 💛💙🎓 A group picture with Provost McCorkle and the ETSU Roan Scholars

When one door closes, another opens. 🥹

Today, we said “see you later” to our Marketing Intern, Sarah Grace. Next week, she spreads her wings even further as she soars into her next chapter at ETSU, in Johnson City, TN.

Since 2024, SG has been an integral part of our Chamber team. She started with us at the end of her sophomore year of high school and stayed with us during her final high school years while balancing volleyball, DECA, school leadership roles, and a vibrant social life. During that time, she’s helped us cheer on so many members, kept us up to date with trends, style, and fashion, created the best content, and made sure we’re all hip and youthful (at least at heart 😅).

Today, she left our office as a Green Wave, Gallatin girl, and Marketing Intern. Next week, her next door swings wide open as she’ll be among her new peers as a proud Roan Scholar (one of 12 in her class!) and a Buccaneer, all while staying with us remotely in a new role with our Chamber: Digital Marketing Assistant.

We can’t wait to cheer SG on in this new season and know she’ll make Gallatin so very proud during her time in East Tennessee.

Please join us in celebrating SG - and helping us count down the days to Christmas break.

We love you, SG! 🩷

EXPERIENCE LEADERSHIP. EXPERIENCE ADPI.
Shelby has always had a heart for leadership, and Alpha Delta Pi has helped her grow that passion through opportunities to lead and serve both our chapter and campus. Hear how ADPi has supported her journey.

ADPi has been a home that not only celebrates my leadership, but cherishes the heart behind it, encouraging excellence rooted in service and character. I have served as our chapter’s Vice President of Panhellenic Relations and Leadership Engagement Specialist. As a member of Alpha Delta Pi’s International Collegiate Advisory Committee, I have the honor of advocating for member perspectives to the Sorority’s Grand Council and top-level leadership while experiencing the thoughtfulness that goes into shaping the organization’s programming and member experience.

Whether through mentoring incoming students as a Preview leader, guiding campus tours, exploring leadership development as a Roan Scholar, or encouraging giving as a Student Foundation Ambassador, ETSU has become my home, and our chapter’s values of knowledge and service have guided me through leading with purpose. ADPi’s call to “be the first” instilled in me the courage needed to pursue bold goals, now entering my second term as ETSU’s Student Government President, and I am deeply grateful for a sisterhood that continues to support and uplift me every step of the way.

Sometimes when you’re visiting a museum that has art literally from floor to ceiling, you gotta do what you gotta do to take it all in 🤷‍♀️ #galleriaborghese #rome
