Modern low-maintenance hair color is all about hair health. So instead of lifting my clients’ hair with a higher developer. I used different ratios to achieve this expensive looking hair

I use @kenraprofessional Simply Blonde Ammonia Free Lightener

🔥 Your lightener determines the strength of your lift and your volume of developer is how fast or slow it will take 🔥

• 1:3 ratio dilutes the lightener powder. Gives a slower and gentler lift. Keeping the first set of foils from over processing

• 1:2 a little less developer helps speeds up the processing time as I move up the head.

• 1:1 equal parts of product packs the HIGHEST punch so my last foils finish at the same time as my first section.

To create this look I colored her root in a tear drop angle 📐. We wanted some dimension so I did a custom foil placement with medium thick weaves (pinky thick) in this mane of hair. Finished with a toner or gloss for those seamless copper blends 🙌🏽

My good friend Katie came in for what I call a revised & nourish (retouch + tone) I used my favorite permanent color line iNOA 5.32 + 4N 1:1 and 10 volume. When I glossed her hair with Dia Light 6N + 7.8 + 7.43 2:1:1 and 9 volume. Clearly, I could’ve mixed a little bit more. #shakenbottlesyndrome 😂💁🏽‍♂️

Grey BLENDING: L’Oreal Dia Color Alkaline Demi permanent color for a semi opaque blend with 70% grey coverage (My go to for a client who wants a softer grow out). And L’Oréal Dia Light Acidic Demi Permanent color for healthy and shiny looking ends

The best part about using Demi Permanent on Amie is that I’m able to lighten through and maintain the brightness tone of her blonde hair ☀️

Obsessed with how this copper came out!
I used 30grams iNOA 7.34 + 7.43 1:1 + 15grams of 7.44 with 10 vol for the base, then used the SAME formula + 30vol through the ends for more brightness. (All over a custom highlight placement that I had done in December)

Root shading a blonde always has me like 😍♥️!!

Check how I transition this beauties hair with out changing her identity of being a blonde 👱🏻‍♀️
.
✖️ Hairline Highlights -doing 2-4 foils along the hairline ensures she sees Blonde when looking in the mirror + if she were to wear her hair up.
✖️ Tear Drop Rootshade - dragging the color down further in the back creates a natural look, keeping more blonde around the front.
*** I used a liquid demi which are translucent compared to a cream demi that’s more opaque..When using a liquid demi Match the natural level for softness or go 1-2 shades darker for more coverage ***
✖️ Tipped Outs - not needed every time. Here we knew her hair could handle a little lift so I went in with Albage 2.0 (similar to 20 vol with traditional lightner)

*** when tipping out with a root shade keep the two formulas away from each other to avoid unnecessary warmth ***
