POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the greatest things you’ve given me is the freedom to tell you almost anything without wondering if you’ll see me differently afterward.
You know so much of the real me.
And I’ve never felt less loved because of it.

You know the stories I wouldn’t casually tell other people.
The thoughts that sound strange once I say them out loud.
The feelings I’m still trying to understand myself.
You’ve heard so much of it.

And sometimes, right before I tell you something, there’s still that tiny moment of hesitation.
That thought of,
“Should I actually say this?”
Then I remember who I’m talking to.
Because I know I don’t have to make myself sound better first.
I don’t need to edit the messy parts.
I can tell you what really happened.
What I really thought.
How I really felt.

But what means the most isn’t just that I can tell you those things.
It’s what happens afterward.
Nothing between us suddenly feels different.
I’m still me.
And you’re still you.
I don’t leave our conversations replaying everything I said, wondering if I shared too much or whether you’ll think less of me now.
You’ve never made honesty feel dangerous.

And I think that’s why I trust you with the things closest to my heart.
Not because I know you’ll agree with everything.
But because even when you don’t,
I know you’ll still handle my heart with
care, compassion & softness.

There’s something incredibly freeing about being known that way.
When someone has seen your uncertainty, your mistakes, your embarrassing stories, and your complicated thoughts,
and you still feel completely accepted.

Maybe that’s one of the deepest kinds of trust we can have in friendship, relationship & Marriage.
Not simply knowing someone will keep our secrets,
but knowing
we are safe in the way they see us too.

Thank you for knowing so much of the real me and never making me wish I had hidden it from you.
I can bring you the messy thoughts, the embarrassing stories, and the things closest to my heart.
And somehow,
I still feel completely safe being me.

Dear husband.
I am not just in love with you. I am in love with us.
The way we said fit together. The way we laugh so hard we are crying with achy abs. The way we dream the big dreams together. & most importantly the way we grow together through all the waves of life.
Being with you just feels like home. Peace I have never felt before. But something I never want to lose. Every moment together just makes life brighter. Every memory we create together fills my heart in ways I can’t even explain. The safe zone you have protected so securely that makes me able to pull my walls down. To grow and heal from my own experiences. And you are forever patient in hard times. I am so completely deeply in love with you and with everything that means US!

Take me back to Cabooooo! Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th in Cabo. Thank you to my love, @kbdesigns1904 for your support to chase my dreams of catching a marlin! And even bigger thanks to @rob.stringer and @latarra_hendrien for giving me such an incredible opportunity to do so! The entire trip, but especially that incredible day on the water, is something I will carry with me, a treasured memory, for the rest of my life!
