Zine #1 what is a Zine?

I’m hoping to create 4 different themed zines for the Month of July! Thought I’d start off by some basic history of zines and how important they’ve been for diy artists. Give me a dm if you want a high res version! There’s all sorts of bits of bobs on there so I hope you learn something new! I’m also gagging to do some zine swaps with some willing participants if that’s something you’re interested in 💕

Put down some of my fav diy creators that focus on zines, printing, mail clubs, stickers and archival stuff. Also @hevphoto should be on that list for actually being the best mentor at uni for book binding publishing and editorial stuff. Who knew if you actually listen you can learn some great stuff. Had a blast going through some old work and old sketchbooks. Thank you for putting up with me Hev! ⭐️ #zine #riso #photography #diyart

2020 - lock down - Han digging up rat piss at bournbrook diy

We are playing this gig because we love community, and when my mental health was rock bottom, the skate community saved me.

These are some memories from @birminghamskatespaces first project @bournbrookdiy , which became and still is the first only DIY skatepark to be officially opened to the public in the UK.

Community projects rely on donations. We’re playing this show for free and what ever money is donated on the door, we are giving straight back to Birmingham Skate Spaces so they can continue their mission to create spaces built by and for the skate community in Birmingham - this now takes on an extended form at @the_drop_inn_digbeth a new venue which currently houses Birmingham Skate Spaces amazing mini ramp.

Massive thank you to Berni for asking us to be involved, for @the_big_hell for jumping on this show and our friend @rob.the.bastard for the poster artwork. We couldn’t do this without you.

This will be our first Brum headline and the only one this year.
