Monday hits different after a Steelers W. 🖤💛 And the forecast? Picture-perfect Pittsburgh fall weather all week. That means more patio beers in Blawnox while we still can. Fall’s favorite draft pour is back: Abnormal Beliefs | 6.3% ABV An American Brown Ale made with Midwest-grown barley, English caramel and chocolate malts, and Pacific Northwest hops. Think toffee, toasted bread, and a nicely balanced hop finish. Cozy in a glass. Fresh on the Lukr faucet: a brand new batch of our 340 Lager to kick off the week. On cask: Mild Stillage | 3.8% ABV Our classic Mild Ale, double dry-hopped with EKG. Naturally carbonated and cask-conditioned. Smooth, low ABV, and easy to keep ordering. @blackcatpizzapa is kicking off the week inside the taproom with homemade pizzas. Come hang! We’ve got a great lineup of food trucks planned for the rest of the week, too. Here’s to a terrific week and plenty of pints with you. Cheers! 🍂

In case you were wondering — a rainy, gloomy Monday is best spent inside our cozy taproom with a fresh pint in hand and a burger and fries from @steerandwheel - we can’t think of a better way to start the week ☔️🍔 As mentioned last week, seasonal favorites are making their way back onto the board, and this week we’re kicking things off with a fantastic new lineup: Midnight Blue — American Porter, 7% ABV Brewed with Midwest-grown malted barley plus English caramel and chocolate malts. Dark, rich, and comforting — exactly what you want as the weather turns. Pastime Views — Czech Pilsner, 4.8% ABV A single-decoction pale lager brewed with Bohemian Pilsner floor-malted barley and Czech Saaz. A symphony of noble hops with notes of lemon blossom, honey, and fresh bread. On Cask: Pale Kingdom — Pale Ale, 5.5% ABV Double dry-hopped with Tropical Fusion from @freestylehops - As always, naturally carbonated and cask-conditioned. Talk about a stacked list of releases this week! 🤝 Survivor Night is back starting this Wednesday! Join us from 8–9:30pm for $1 off all alcoholic drinks. This season’s shaping up to be one of the best yet. 🏝️ Stay tuned across our social channels this week — we’re heading out West for our annual hop-selection trip! We’ll be visiting the farms we source from throughout the year to hand-select the best hops for next year’s beers. Always one of our favorite trips of the year. ✈️ Have a great week, and we hope to see you sooner rather than later! 🤗

🛼 Hi, @wickedskatewear_pgh!!!! If you’ve been sleeping on summer, tonight’s your chance for 4-wheel fun (or just come touch grass). Join our offsite crew at #FoodTruckFriday - we’ll be set up in Aspinwall alongside @robalsmobile taking care of riverside dinner. We’ll kick things off at 5pm on the @alleghenyrivertrailpark grounds. BYO skates or rent a pair at the park from Wicked. Kid and doggo friendly with live DJ set by @chocolatemilkmountain. We’ll pour til sunset at the 15215 outpost. For our landlocked friends in Bloomfield, the @quick_e2023 crew is handling dinner time eats at Trace HQ. Big love to Ashley and her team for feeding the people. Seems like a LOTTA birthdays have been hitting this week so a quick shout to our #Virgo fam - we see you and we are excited to reset as we collectively bridge the summer to fall transition. Happy birthday to all. 💙 Photo: @juliekahlbaugh

It's shaping up to be a BIG week here at Old Thunder, and we've got so much to celebrate! First, to all the parents sending the little ones back to school this week: good luck, and we hope everything goes smoothly! 📚 Now, onto this week's releases: 340 Lager is BACK! Our beloved Helles has finished its long lagering rest and it's fresher than ever. This batch is tasting incredibly clean and crisp — exactly what we've been waiting for. Come get a pour! This Saturday, 8/29 — 4th Annual False Kingdom Day! We're kicking things off in style with a first-ever release: Nitro Kingdom! Our House IPA served exclusively on nitro. Expect tiny cascading bubbles, a velvety-smooth mouthfeel, and a pour that's as fun to watch as it is to drink. This past Sunday on the beer engine, we released @costarbrewing Edward — a 4.2% ABV Irish-style Dry Stout, dry-hopped with Cascade, naturally carbonated, and cask-conditioned. Brewed to celebrate the life of Edward Burke, who was deeply involved in his community and instrumental to the Etna Community Organization (ECO). We’re honored to be pouring this beer and celebrating the life of Edward. 100% of cask sales will be donated to the ECO's construction of the Etna Center for Community — so come raise a glass and support a great cause while you're at it. And don't forget — @blackcatpizzapa is in the taproom tonight, serving up the perfect dinner to kick off the week right. So much happening, and we can't wait to share it all with you. Have a great week, and we hope to see you soon! 🍻
