Time for Another #sundaybliss! Today, Rob and I bring you a sorcery from way back in Mirage. To me this is probably the most iconic piece by Rob. This was the first card I ever pulled by him and I fell in love with his artwork. It always makes me think of that story in the Twilight Zone movie. Creepy asf. #robbliss #robertbliss @robblissconceptart @robblissart ____________________________________________ 💫For the best MTG content on IG:👇🏼 ☠️🖤 #orderoftheblackmana ____________________________________________ 🎲 For all your🃏Magic and 🐉D&D accessories, go visit my sponsors at @nerdgeargaming! 🏰Custom playmats, Dragon and counter Dice and more! - Use code [ethos] for 5% off all orders! 🛡️Highest quality, Pro Tournament sleeving options: Visit my Sponsor @tame_dog_tcg - Use code [ethos] for 10% off! ⚔️Also visit my friends at @realm_guard - Use code [ethos] for 15% off! ⚡️☠️ Sickest heavy metal playmats and shirts at @electricwitchclothing⚔️ ALL AFFILIATE LINKS IN BIO _____________________________________________ ↪️Tap to the Left, and always check for traps!🪤💀 Follow my friend’s amazing MTG accounts! 💀💧🌳🔥☀️⚙️🔸 @volrath_the_fallen 🇿🇦 🍖 @dark_mtg 🇳🇴🐐 @mtg_phantasmal_forces 🇧🇪 👑 @xnicolbolasx 🇨🇦 🐉 @slayer_mtg 🇮🇹🤘🏼 @aimless_cursed_scrolling 🇺🇸🧞‍♂️ @skyshroud_poacher 🇵🇹💎 @rosera_mtg 🇧🇷✨ @customilez 🇩🇪🎨 @magicthegathering_pt 🇵🇹⚡️ @mtg_of_the_western_lands 🏜️ @magic_the_brothering_venice 🌟🇮🇹 @mtgenious 🧠 @ravensvk_tcg🇸🇰🐦‍⬛ @mtgshine✨ @cutortaptcg🇺🇸💪🏼 @vandercollectibles 👌🏼 @emptythewarrens 👹 @carddrummerjay 🥁 #mtg edh mtgalters magicthegathering magictcg mtgtcg mtgcommunity WotC deckbuilding wizardsofthecoast mtgdeck mtgcollector cardcollector mtgfoil mtgcards mtgvintage mtgart tradingcardgame mtgaddicts premodernmtg premodern oldschoolmtg middleschoolmtg mtgdaily mtgoldframe OOTBMMTG

Reanimate Battle Royale Time for another #SundayBliss. Today Rob and I bring you arguably one of the best recursion spells on the game. Robs art goes hard in this Necromancy spell from Tempest. Pacifism Magic 11 Happy Sunday! Time for #sundaybliss! Today, Rob and I bring you one of his most prolific and probably most reprinted painting. Originally from Mirage, it has been reprinted with his art a staggering 21 times! What can you say? Rob nailed the sentiment with this tribal Witchdoctor finding comfort from his newfound friends from the woodlands. 💀💧🌳🔥☀️⚙️🔸 @volrath_the_fallen 🇿🇦 🍖 @dark_mtg 🇳🇴🐐 @mtg_phantasmal_forces 🇧🇪 👑 @xnicolbolasx 🇨🇦 🐉 @slayer_mtg 🇮🇹🤘🏼 @aimless_cursed_scrolling 🇺🇸🧞‍♂️ @skyshroud_poacher 🇵🇹💎 @rosera_mtg 🇧🇷✨ @customilez 🇩🇪🎨 @magicthegathering_pt 🇵🇹⚡️ @mtg_of_the_western_lands 🏜️ @magic_the_brothering_venice 🌟🇮🇹 @mtgenious 🧠 @ravensvk_tcg🇸🇰🐦‍⬛ @mtgshine✨ @cutortaptcg🇺🇸💪🏼 @vandercollectibles 👌🏼 @emptythewarrens 👹 @carddrummerjay 🥁

Morgue Thrull Stronghold It’s Sunday, time for another #SundayBliss! Today Rob and I present to you his Morgue Thrull from back in Stronghold. This is a great little dude for a self-mill deck, providing a 2/2 body and then when you need to fill the yard, you can sacrifice him to mill three cards. I always loved this art (I love all of Robs art) but the dark twisted aspect of this one is really stunning. #RobertBliss @robblissconceptart @robblissart ____________________________________________ 💫For the best MTG content on IG:👇🏼 ☠️🖤 #orderoftheblackmana ____________________________________________ 🎲 For all your🃏Magic and 🐉D&D accessories, go visit my sponsors at @nerdgeargaming! 💀💧🌳🔥☀️⚙️🔸 @volrath_the_fallen 🇿🇦 🍖 @dark_mtg 🇳🇴🐐 @mtg_phantasmal_forces 🇧🇪 👑 @xnicolbolasx 🇨🇦 🐉 @slayer_mtg 🇮🇹🤘🏼 @aimless_cursed_scrolling 🇺🇸🧞‍♂️ @skyshroud_poacher 🇵🇹💎 @rosera_mtg 🇧🇷✨ @customilez 🇩🇪🎨 @magicthegathering_pt 🇵🇹⚡️ @mtg_of_the_western_lands 🏜️ @magic_the_brothering_venice 🌟🇮🇹 @mtgenious 🧠 @ravensvk_tcg🇸🇰🐦‍⬛ @mtgshine✨ @cutortaptcg🇺🇸💪🏼 @vandercollectibles 👌🏼 @emptythewarrens 👹 @carddrummerjay 🥁

Next up is one of my favorite interaction spells in my deck. In my opinion heavily underplayed. Only one printing and @robblissconceptart is an amazing one. Got this one signed at Magic Con Amsterdam 2026. Greg Staples was nice enough to take it to their hotelroom where Rob signed it. Keep art human! #magicthegathering #mtg #mtgcommunity #bass #groove

Heath Ledger’s Joker almost looked like a corpse. Concept artist Rob Bliss originally designed him with sunken black eyes, heavy scarring, and decaying skin. Nolan pulled the look back so Ledger’s version would feel more human and grounded, though pieces of that early design still made it into the final makeup. Barry Keoghan’s Joker later landed surprisingly close to Bliss’s unused concept.

From that same visit to visit my friends @robblissconceptart and @carolinepoolart, Rob also pulled out this page from a Judge Dredd strip I did from the same year 1992. It a story called ‘Johnny Kiss’ written by Garth Ennis. Interesting story, me and Garth were big Prince fans at the time and the original character was supposed to be based on him. However, I was gently persuaded by the editor at the time to veer away from that idea and came up with a fresh take..I think Prince might have made for an interesting villain when I think about it..#dredd #judgedredd #2000ad #comics #comicart
