Today is the 6th anniversary of this account, exactly six years ago during Covid I posted my first ever Star Wars toyphoto, which was also my first time ever using any social media.
I made a lot of friends here during these years and just wanted to say thank you tonall ofnyou for your continued interest.

45 YEARS AND STILL LOOKING GOOD

Hard to believe that these two beauties both turn 45 this year. While Boba definitely is more colorful, Grag, the robot from Captain Future has some amazing articulation for 1981: barbell hips, a kneejoint and even a seperate kneecap to cover the gap. If it wasn't for the oversized hands and feet, the sculpt would still hold up today. An odd choice was the soft-goods as the original Grag in the comics just wore a piece of chest armor...

I don't know if you know Captain Future (or Capitaine Flam) but he was pretty big in the late 70ies and early 80ies in germany(and I really was a fan). And the theme music for the german iteration of the series by Christian Bruhn became a classic.

“I still wonder how neither Axis nor Allies heard it coming, somehow nobody had Omangas nuclear capabilities on the radar – and when they did, it was too late.
After the Berlin impact, that had killed tenthousands on both our and the Russian side, the rest of my Panzerjäger unit had disserted due to the lack of any command structure. We had no plan what to do after a war that was actually lost by all participants …with the exception of Omanga.
In that night the firestorm lit up the western horizon and all of us knew there would be no going back.
We stacked up on filters, ammo, whatever was useful and joined the big track of central european survivors to the east. Many tried their luck towards the iron wall, they heard of vast, unpolluted areas ready to take – we never heard from them again. Theo and Mart, two comrades and I made it all the way to Agurts.
While crossing the border, the Forseti rangers scooped us up. After all the horrors of the wasteland a month in a refugee facility, warm rations, a private bunk and medical attention felt like a welcome break. Finally an Agurts official, a recruiter of the ACDF, came to our dorm and interviewed us thoroughly. After listening to our story and an assessment of our status, health and attitude he bluntly offered us a deal: „Citizenship for service or expertise.“ :he called it, four years of our life in the service of Agurts.
I am with the ‘88th for 11 years now.
Some say Omanga ended the Second Great War and we should be thankful to them stopping the former world powers from complete mutual destruction…. others say Omanga broke history as we know it.
I know that’s just a sentiment, but sometimes I miss the old world, despite its daily quarrels and shortcomings. All the people in the world drank coffee! – every day… can you even imagine?”

“The White Knight”

Some call him the Ghost Soldier, some call him the White Knight. To the passing travelers the moistfarmers of the Zamaii outlands tell stories of a white cladded soldier will appear when violent injustice is upon them to protect those who can’t protect themselves from the scum and villainy of the Omanga Grey Zone. After a long tradition the farmers of the belt leave canned food and water in certain graves on the giant cemetary fields at the Gafian border, where thousands of the Grey Guard found their sudden death due to the Omangan use of phosphoric-acid gas attacks that penetrated the old filter systems easily and made the land close to uninhabitable for a decade. Referring to the farmers the hideouts are always getting picked clean after some days and it looks like it pays, the Crop-Luggans and Soil-clansmen have decided to leave the farmers at peace for a while now – like someone is out there holding the truce upright and giving hope that someone actually cares about the individuals who want to rebuild in peace bringing justice to the outlands in these daring times.
Though few people have seen the self announced crime fighting vigilante nobody knows his identity or his whereabouts, but he seems to appear like a quiet, white daemon of vengeance out of the shadows when dealing with his cruel and ruthless opponents and disappearing like a mist of dust blown away by the desert winds.
