Autumn has arrived in Northumberland 🍁

Woodland gorges, estate gardens and forest valleys are turning copper and gold, with peak colour running from mid October into early November.

Save this for your next autumn adventure 🍂

July round up:

Turned 30.
Attended my first Grand Prix and witnessed Lando win at Silverstone and Hulk’s first podium.
Celebrated both of the above.

Nothing better than a little R&D trip. London Coffee Festival 2025 has resulted in some new roasters for the shelf and dropbylocal.com, new bits of kit, and some progress on our new business avenues which are coming soon. Watch this space.

Everyone who knows LOCAL knows how important our team is to us, and nothing makes us happier to see it whole again.
When Alex got sick last summer and had to head home to London, not only did it come as a shock but it had a really big impact on everyone personally.
We just wanted to say that we couldn’t be prouder of the resilience and class Alex has shown in these past few months.
It just didn’t feel the same without you @alex.h_, we are so glad you’re back and we are so thrilled to see you step into a new role x

FOUR.

April 02 2021, we opened with the idea of working for ourselves, doing something that we loved and building something that was all ours. Instead we work hard for our team, we found something that gives us love and we have built something for our locals.

We can’t lie we were completely delusional, thinking how easy this was all going to be four years ago. To be truthful it’s been one huge learning curve but we’re not sure that we would have had it any other way.

We are also pretty sure that we said this exact thing last year but we could have never imagined that LOCAL would become what it is today. Four years of support from everyone who makes LOCAL what it is, popular enough to warrant a refit and loved enough to be surviving (and very nearly thriving) in today’s economy. This love and support is not lost on us.

This post is just a big thank you to every single one of our customers, our suppliers, our families and our best friends. I am not sure that we would have survived a single year, let alone four years without all of you.

Our biggest thank you as always has to go to our team. To all of our past and present gang, we love you and we 100% know that we wouldn’t have got here without you. You are exactly what makes LOCAL, LOCAL.

We have a feeling that Year Five is going to be our biggest year yet, keep watching because if you haven’t learnt by now we like to keep our foot on the gas.
