Back to the ol stomping grounds for the weekend for a little BL4KTT action. An oddly nostalgic race for the pink boats first ✨official✨ one. I love me some fall racing.

Dreamboat acquired. 🤤😎

Super pumped to be partnering with @filippicanada ! I never thought I’d see the day where I’d be actively yearning to get out in a single… but here we are!! 🤩

While the plan isn’t to race the single anytime soon, I already know it’ll be awesome to rack up some kilometres in this beauty during the off-season. Huge thanks to @filippicanada for making this dream a reality. 💙

Operation Strathcona 2026 ☀️🕵️‍♀️

Learned that 36km sessions have nothing on my back and you should definitely dig a hole before using the great outdoors.

Hard launching the new gravel rig! Thanks as always to the whole team @cowichancycles for the continued support, love you guys.

Impressions are extremely good so far on this @iamspecialized Diverge 4 Pro. Capable, comfortable, I’m instantly at home in this cockpit. The team at the Big S have done an incredible job balancing efficiency and yeet-ability on this platform. The Future Shock may only have 2cm of travel, but with the addition of the v3.3 damper, I’m finding as much traction and comfort as I need.

The @garbaruk_components 10-52t cassette is a must have for our straight-up-straight-down island terrain. @schwalbetires RX Pro 2.15” rolling noticeably quicker than semi slicks and with a whole lot more traction. Some kind of wizardry happening over there in the deep forests of Deutschland.

@tailfincycling bags holding all the tools and fuel while keeping things tucked and aero. @ridewrap complete kit keeping it looking shiny. Wide assortment of @thetibolt penny copper bolts locking in the accent colour and shaving off precious grams so I don’t have to shave my legs to be faster.

Excited to continue pushing into ultra distance ride territory aboard this rig! Thanks for looking!

And thanks to @robert_c_photography for some of the pics! 📸

Tomorrow at 10:55am local Spain time (1:55am PST) I’ll be racing my first World Cup as a sculler in the double with @alizeebrien! 😮🫨

After more than a decade of identifying strictly as a sweeper (one oar for all you non-rowers) I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous… buuuut I’m also genuinely really excited about trying something different.

Sticking with what I already knew I was good at definitely would’ve been the easier option for my nerves, but I also knew it would’ve ended up being the less fulfilling one. As I told my coaches when we discussed my return to rowing, I actively wanted the challenge and the opportunity to expand my skill set.

So, regardless of how this weekend shapes up results-wise, I’m already really proud of myself and my little crew for choosing to step outside our comfort zones!!

Officially entering my sculling era 🫡🤩
