One of the most precious moments of my life occurred this weekend.
Nathan has been my best friend since I was four years old. Our mutual obsession with the Lord of the Rings as little kids had us thick as thieves.
Friday night I went home to Alabama and cut on the first LOTR video game Nathan and I ever played together in 2004, but this time, with his kids on the controllers.
In my lap sat his oldest, hitting the fighting buttons while I ran the joy-stick with my left hand, and holding his newborn in the Hiesman with my right.
All while the 3 year old jumped on the couch cheering us on. I about cried watching them scream and shout with that same joy we had 24 years ago.
Time flies, but boy it sure is precious❤️
