Next we have another long time friend of DFK, the inimitable Angeline Mirenda! Educator, entertainer, CATS enthusiast, and so much more. But we care so much more about who she’d be in an 80s slasher. In her own words:

I’m an extra. I missed whatever exciting event the main teens got hunted over because I was at home in full unitard and face paint singing along to my cassette tape of Broadway’s hottest new musical - CATS (1982). The killer walked by my house but saw my feline moves in the window and got scared. CATS saved my life. It can save yours too.

Alexis Park is not the final girl, or even the penultimate final girl. She is just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to make out in the woods. One week ago was without a doubt the best day of my life. And it could never have happened without some truly incredible people. I was in denial but now I have to face the truth. The trail has ended 😭. This show has changed my perspective of myself as a performer in all aspects. It taught me so much and it revealed so many things I didn’t know I could achieve.

Daughter (you may know her as Crunchwrap Supreme, Deeznuts, or maybe Dumb Bitch, etc.) was a difficult role to make come to life. To go from vague source material (putting it nicely), to our fully fleshed out bundle of teenage hormones, was a feat only achieved because of the amazing creative team and extremely talented cast surrounding me. (I guess I worked pretty hard sometimes)

This show has been the most fun I’ve ever had in MANY ways but especially onstage and backstage. The humor and talent of every single one of my cast and crew is unmatched. This was truly a special experience and I will never forget it. I am so proud of the work we all did in this show and I’m so lucky to have been able to call this cast and crew “family” for the few months we were together.

Love to all who were a part of bringing this show to life. You guys are STILL my motherfuckin familyyyy. ❤️
