Today is the anniversary of ringing the opening bell on the NYSE stock exchange to commemorate StartOut's role in building new companies. Excited to see what the next several years hold! (tried to tag as many people as their settings allow!)

I love when a work conference is also a good time spent with friends.

Our 2023 Fellowship Retreat was a blast! We met nine exceptional fellows from around the country. Thanks to our four board members who showed up to support, @robertclauser darrenlashelle @toddhshuster and @grumpiesher Thanks also to our partner @neta_grams NETA and our friend @timothyeernisse who made this an unforgettable experience we could not have had without them. Imagine hosting a fellowship program with a media partner and when the host asks who is nominated, one third of your fellows stand. Imagine leading a keynote with three fellows about restorative narrative in newsrooms and in the poetic process for artists. Imagine ending a day learning how to stencil-print your own T-shirts thanks to one of your fellows deciding to do this for his cohort (Mr B). Discussions about 3-D animation, incarceration, continental indigineity, folklorism, passing legislature and so much more made for rich learning. This is the beginning of a year-long adventure with our fellows, watching their projects develop and their careers continue to take off. The Peace Studio could not be more excited about our 2023 Fellowship Cohort. Many thanks to the TED family who welcomed us into their community more than 18 months ago. We had no idea moving from California to New York would lead to all the things that it did. We incubated our crazy ideas to foster interfaith unity and inclusivity — including turning “Interfaith Meat” into @abeseats — at the TED Residency space. We brought on board our first team members, mentors, and advisors at meetings we had in nearly every room at HQ. We wrote countless drafts on the deck, scootered around hallways on conference calls, and stayed late white boarding the parts and pieces that have become the bedrock of our organization. TED was our home base and our support system, filled with ideas and the people who encouraged us to turn them into ripples of positive change. From the fact checkers to the late night cleaning crew to the residents who shared so many moments preparing to speak on the red dot — thank you, thank you, thank you 🙌🏼. - Abe’s Eats Team

We didn’t have a full TED Residents 7 portrait, so I made one. taa daaa! Friday was our last day in this amazing experience that I personally lived for 6+ months, with the most simultaneously inspiring and joyous group of people that I have ever met. @tedresidency @ted #TEDRES7 #missyoualready
