Someone in my neighborhood really threw away the whole Western Canon

Society is really going down the gutter

Save as many books as possible because I don’t think there’s gonna be any in the near future

When your daily self quietens, the world fades and you drift into your inner self.
You take the seat of the observer.
You survey your life; where you’ve been, where you are and where you’re going.
Now, depending on your familiarity with the inner self, you have the ability to converse with imagination.
To dialogue with the deep pools of creation.
When one seeks there, they shall find what they could only feel they were missing.
It is the work of a human soul, to pull that vision up from the sleepy shallows of imagination and manifest that vision into reality.
Dr. McGilchrist is here explaining that that process is aided in simply making space for the SOUL TO BE HEARD.

Tom & Rosie

Along the rough gravel could the footsteps of old Tom be heard making his way toward Mr. Lockwood’s farmhouse. Tom was an enigma in and of himself within the Wittenmere Moors. He’d been on the land longer than any who lived there, and he was a wealth of knowledge, friendship and good cheer for all lucky enough to be in his company.
Rosie was the first to perk up and realise Tom was on his way down to the farm, she leapt from her bed, letting out a stutter of short sharp yaps; until, gaining his scent; she began sprinting toward Tom with her tail wagging to and fro,
“That’s a good girl Rosie, hey, what have you been up to? Keeping old Lockwood in line I hope,” said Tom; as he paused on the path to give Rosie her fee of admittance, a good pat and a dried pigs ear. Once the toll had been paid, Rosie trotted off, an afternoon in the sun gnawing on a newly acquired treat was now her plan of action.

(Writing Below)
Wrought iron lamp posts
stand sentinel
through foggy winter nights.
Echoes of shoe
clashing with cobbled stone.
Up and down the way
can passers by hear
the evening rabble,
clustered in old pubs.
The inside air
a bustle
with rowdy cheek,
resounding
over glass symphonies.
The outside air,
brittle to breath
licks flame lit lamps
dutifully stalling
nights encroaching
dark.

(*Attempting to improve my writing skills!
I’ve found a very enjoyable writing exercise is to find an image that appeals to you
and endeavour to portray that image in words.)
