POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This week, I said goodbye to Lazy from a distance.

For 16.5 years he was my companion, my quiet teacher, and one of the most constant presences in my life. He has witnessed more chapters of my story than anyone. He reminded me daily of something very simple: love is mostly just presence.

Lazy had a way of pulling me out of screens and back into the moment. He almost demanded it. All he ever asked for was attention, care, cuddles and a lot of food :)

His passing was sudden, and I didn’t see it coming. If I could trade all the touring, the phone, the laptop, the constant doing, to spend just a little bit more time together, it would be instant.

I feel incredibly grateful for the life he had and for everyone who helped care for him so dearly along the way: my sister, my parents, Camiel, David, Maia, Margot, Lars, Vesper, June, Britta, Pati, Ricardo, Maxime, Maria, Lee, Cloe, Angie, Sara, Zohar, Ralph, Ruben, Mackenzie, Robert, Abbe, Ayla, Mehry, Dillon, and everyone else who looked after him at the Campo, Noordwijk while I was away.

He was a soul from another world and my little buddy. I will miss him deeply, but I carry immense gratitude for having experienced so much love with a living being.

I hope everyone in life gets to feel a bond like this with another creature. The world would be a very different place.

Lazy, thank you for everything.
You and Noise will always be with me.

For our first episode of the year, we are inviting @robertravelli , a Rotterdam-based DJ and producer, blending warm grooves with a record collection that’s seen more than a few corners.
Feet on the ground, head somewhere above the clouds, he moves easily between high energy and playful flow.

Expect melodic twists, driving rhythms, and tracks that sneak a smile onto the dancefloor.

Tune in or pass by @gimic.radio on Sunday 11 January at 5pm 🪩

A full week of radio, with space to settle in — and a New Year’s Eve moment in the middle.

Before we do, a big thank you to everyone who made this year what it was.
All volunteers, artists, hosts, listeners, and everyone who simply stopped by.
So many new faces, big changes, shared moments — and, as always, a vibrant cage.

Barely survived the Jurassic Park’s comté and wine overload🥲 but landing in the lovely village of Arbois and its surroundings after four wonderful days at Pe:rsona/ @positiveeducation with the best crew was everything I could have hoped for.

Where I’d only occasionally enjoyed a Jura wine every now and then, this trip was a deep dive into their world of winemaking, soil, climate, the producers, the traditions, the philosophy, the grapes, the barrels… and the list goes on. Hard to pick only 20 top bits for a post but here are some favorites. Might need to make a part two🙃
