Great lunch on Lake Union with the indefatigable @colletteclavadetscher visiting from #ajijic. @dukesseafood was delish as always. Their Wild & Bleu Blackened Salmon Salad is the bomb. She's just back from Zurich on her way to Alaska on @cunardline.

Thanks to my cousin Gayle for sharing this photo of us in Dunfermline, Scotland when I visited in my 20's. First time I had been back since my childhood when we spent a good part of two summers there with my mum's family. I am so proud of my Scottish heritage! Such fond memories of playing in the glen (Pittencrieff Park), investigating new nooks and crannies of the ancient #DunfermlineAbby and, of course, an obligatory visit to the birth place of #AndrewCarnegie, a #Dunfermline homeboy! It was such a pleasure seeing Gayle and her sister Pat again after XX years (one shudders to think of how many) while I was in #FortLauderdale last month.

It’s been interesting looking through all the posts and comments about the slap heard ‘round the world, from former guest @broadwaysymposium wondering how a Stage Manager could/should handle a moment like this to a bit of levity from another former guest @patrickmillsaps. But I particularly appreciate this tweet I found from @robertstephenbrowning.

For years, I’ve had mad respect for @willsmith, but this was just beyond anything, even for a “work in progress” as he calls himself. I mean, forget about any stinging pain from the slap itself, the shock @chrisrock must have felt that then had to transform into composure to keep going on live television. Kudos to him. I do like to imagine him, though, not skipping a beat and remarking something like, “Who says the Oscars aren’t exciting, we all just got our first preview for Ali 2.”
