Art can make or break a room in my opinion- it can change the balance the mood and the story of a room and I feel so grateful to work on such amazing houses and with such incredible clients that often become more than clients through the process- here is some more from the @houseandgardenuk featured project where we were lucky enough to be able to use some beautiful original artworks from our clients collection as anchors for the new rooms- lucky me! Photography by @paul_massey with thanks as always! Scroll for second image!

Our Dot Block carpet, made from recycled materials, was chosen for a project where moths could be an issue. We wanted something practical and hard-wearing, but with enough colour and pattern to give the room character.

The geometric design and slightly irregular texture give it the feeling of something collected rather than overly polished — which is often what we’re after. Available through @robertstephensoncarpets

Just off from the room we posted last week is the hall, a room which has to wear many hats: music zone with piano and record player, party room, library, LEGO building area… We sourced two WONDERFUL rugs @robertstephensoncarpets in warm terracotta tones that instantly add a lovely lived in feel, along with an antique sofa and a wingback chair recovered in a smart blue plain weave. These sit very happily alongside the clients books, ceramics and architectural prints which we advised hanging here in the library zone.

Handcrafted in the Cotswolds our much loved Antler collection is authentically cast from fallen Highland Antlers in our signature resin and individually hand painted to recreate red deer antlers, making each design truly unique.

We love this cosy wool-check bedroom from the latest @colefaxandfowler collection, beautifully paired with our antique Sheraton-style mahogany armchair. A timeless combination of warmth, texture and classic elegance.

A hall we designed in New York a little while ago. I love the juxtaposition of the Old Master painting against the unexpected yellow-green wall—it makes the room feel at once current and timeless. The bench below somehow bridges the two.

A classically proportioned windowpane check with a flecked appearance. Glen Check uses two-colour twists of wool to add an extra layer of texture to the twill structure, resulting in an elegant wool with distinctive surface interest. Order samples through the link in our bio.

A first glimpse after a whirlwind week installing a country estate pool house I’ve been quietly working on over the past few months.

Overlooking an extraordinary walled garden, the brief was to create a room that sat somewhere between inside and out — relaxed and open in summer, but equally somewhere to retreat to when the evenings draw in.

Edward Bulmer’s Freudian on the walls, embroidered curtains, old glass, hand-painted cabinetry and a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture. Mohair velvet, faded pattern, a little bamboo, Gustavian chairs and plenty of textiles layered in along the way.

Nothing too matched or overly resolved. The idea was for everything to feel as though it had gently found its place over time.

Still a few finishing touches to come, but lovely to see it taking shape.

More soon.

Who said blue and green should never be seen? and even better when backed by pink 😜
