#candidmoment Somebody said it’s National Sons Day… and I want to share a personal testimony...

There was a time when doctors told me I wouldn’t be able to father a biological child. But God blessed me with a beautiful wife, 3 bonus children, and a nephew.

Then I became intentional and specific in my prayers... I wanted a child... I WANTED A SON! And God heard my prayer!

“For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him.” — 1 Samuel 1:27

Tre', you may never fully understand what your life means to me. You are living proof that when you pray specifically, trust God completely, and refuse to give up, God is still able to answer prayers in ways that only He can.

To everyone willing to trust God... THIS is what answered prayers look like! 🙌🏾

My son. My blessing. My best friend. 💙

Today, I pause to remember September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸
The first picture is from 2016, standing at the Pentagon with my son and his 6th-grade class—a place forever marked by that tragic day.

The video is from our visit to the 9/11 Memorial in 2023, where the names of those who lost their lives remind us of the tremendous cost of that day.

Different moments. Different years. One enduring reminder:
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
🇺🇸🕊️ September 11, 2001 — Let us never forget. 🙏🏾

Today, I preached a Father's Day sermon entitled, "A Good Father" from Psalm 37:23-24. As fathers and as men, none of us are perfect. We all make mistakes, stumble, and sometimes fall short. But God's Word reminds us that "though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand."

As I reflect on fatherhood, my prayer is not that my children would say I was a perfect father, but that they would agree that I have been GOOD to them. That I loved them, supported them, prayed for them, sacrificed for them, and did my best to point them toward God.

These pictures remind me of days gone by—days when I could hold each of them in my arms. Four are grown now, and one is almost grown.

A special thank you to my beautiful wife, Sabrina. Together, we have raised five amazing children. Through the joys, challenges, victories, and lessons of parenting, God has blessed us to stand together and build a family rooted in faith, love, and perseverance.

The years have moved quickly, but one thing will never change: although I can no longer carry them in my arms, I will always carry them in my heart.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, father figures, and the men who continue to show up, stand up, and love their families.
