California. My home state. Born and raised and here to stay! Although we have our magical ranch and mountain home in Utah, California will always have my heart. As most of you know, we lost our little beach bungalow in Malibu on January 7, 2025, due to the devastating Palisades Fire. The damage is unreal, guys. Hard to comprehend. Jeff and I drove to Santa Monica, when PCH was open for a few days. We met our friend Steph, who is running @smhelpinghub. She hooked us up with donations for victims of the fires. They are an amazing resource for those affected. *If you lost your home, please connect with them. Steph and the team will take great care of you!!! We honestly couldn’t believe what we saw at our place, up and down the coast, in Pacific Palisade, and at my old home up Las Flores. My ex husband, @robfinkelman, literally lost everything. I know so many people who lost their homes and all their belongings. Some even lost their lives. This whole event has reminded me I have a choice on how I respond to everything in life. I choose to focus on the beauty, the community, the love. This is a new beginning. A new chapter for all. A spark to ignite the Phoenix inside of us to rise. Inspiration to dream big and reach for the stars. The theme that keeps connecting all the dots is community. Together we will get through this. I also want you to know that you will get through your storms, fires, earthquakes, floods, everything thrown your way. Believe me, there is a bigger picture. Enjoy the ride. I’m hurting today. Last night our beloved 16 year old cat, Bubbles, passed suddenly. We think it was a heart attack. He had a great day and all was normal. Rob went to feed Jax last night and Jax went back upstairs and barked urgently for Rob. Rob went up to find Bubbles gone. Jax was next to him. Bubbles and Jax were brothers and best friends. They were so bonded and loved each other so much!!! My heart hurts for Jax. All three of Rob and my cats together (Coco, Star, Bubbles) have now crossed and are together in the spirit realm. Bubbles was the best cat! More like a dog. He was so funny, talkative and sweet. He loved us so much and we loved him. He had a great life. I’m trying to focus on the love and the blessing that he was, but my heart hurts and I can’t stop crying. I will miss him so much. The other animals have been comforting me because they know. Grateful for all these other lives. Thankful for their extra love and cuddles. Bubbles, I will miss your beautiful physical body. I’ll wait for you to visit me in my dreams. I love you, Schmaboygan, Schmuntles, Bubblyboy, Bubs, Schmeetlesmoosh, Bubbles. Thank you for touching our hearts so deeply! You definitely earned your wings, special boy! In our hearts forever and always, my kitty love.

This crazy toy called @alienflextoys was Tulas’ hands down fav ever since she received it as a gift last year from @robfinkelman. After adopting Milo, they both fought over this toy even though I have plenty of others. I finally found a duplicate Alien Flex online so they could each have their own. Instead their fighting over the new one and both forgot all about the original! 🤣 #miloandtula #alienflex #chihuahuasofinstagram #chihuahua
