Here is a little inside story about my Ten of Cups.

This card was inspired by my son Robin. We have been through a lot together. And what remains, through all of it, is love.

The Ten of Cups speaks of family harmony, of emotional fulfilment, of the warmth that comes from those we hold closest.

I wrote him a poem. I wanted to share it here.

To Robin

Let me hug you, little one.
I’m sorry I was afraid, and showed you the world through that lens.

Run, be free, claim your space.
Life is joyous, life is full and complete. Run on grass
with muddy knees, climb that tree, jump.
Let your hair down, smile, laugh loud, be free, dance in the kitchen.
Let’s make a mess together.

I hug you, I’m with you.
You are free. There is nothing to be scared about.
Life is full of joy.
The world is open, we can run and shout at the top of our voices.

We are free, we are colourful, we are welcome
in this wonderful, wild world.
You are loved and celebrated.
The world is a better place with you in it.

Let’s run together barefoot, dance in the kitchen to a loud tune,
go to bed late, read lots of bedtime stories.
Let’s be silly together. The sun is shining, growing us both.

You don’t have to prove anything.
Just being here makes it all worthwhile.

I’m sorry.
Let me hug you, let me hold you,
let me help your light shine brighter.
Shine, my sweet child.
Blind me with your light.
Teach me love.
Thank you.
