People keep telling me to start a separate page just for my salsa videos. I haven’t. Not yet, anyway.

I’ve also been asked what I want this page to say about me. I want it to reflect what makes me happy, what makes me think, and what makes me, me.

That’s hard to do when social media only shows the world what we choose to share. So if you’re new here and found me through the salsa videos, consider this a “hello.”

My name is Geremy Landin. I was mostly raised by a single mom, and I have lots of family. I am who I am because of a village of people. We all are.

I’ve run for city council and for school board. I’ve served on boards and commissions, led a small business center, and helped found three nonprofits. Today I lead the newest one, the Ritmo Institute for Salsa Education (RISE).

Off the clock, you’ll find me with friends or traveling. I make mistakes like anyone else. I’m human. I believe we all have a place in this world, and mine just happens to be here right now.

At one point I weighed about 300 pounds. Today I’m under 200. I credit running, working out, and dancing. I enjoy running so much.

I love my familia and my people. I’ll do anything for someone who’s loyal and kind. I’m very forgiving, but not always forgetful.

I hope everyone gets to enjoy the things I’ve enjoyed as much as I have. Or enjoys their own things.

As for that separate page? I may start one soon. But know that the videos started here for a simple reason. Watching my favorite people on the dance floor makes me happy.
