POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The paperback cover is here for @scobiesnaps and @robinbenway's Royal Spin and it is gorgeous! 🤩👑

After a wave of royal scandals, American Lauren Morgan is whisked from the White House press office to Buckingham Palace to help improve the British monarchy's reputation. It's the fresh start she desperately needs - until she realises the Palace is a fortress of tradition, prickly aides, and rules that seem designed to trip her up.

And then there are the distractions. Oscar, the disarmingly charming royal reporter she needs to keep on side. And the irresistibly charismatic Duke of Exeter, who is very much off-limits.

As Lauren battles culture clashes, palace politics, and two dangerously tempting men, she finally begins to carve out her place - and maybe even her own story.

But when someone from her past resurfaces and the headlines heat up, Lauren discovers the truth isn't so easy to spin. And the next scandal threatening the front pages might just involve her...

The Wicked Ones by @robinbenway

If you are someone who enjoys the fairy tale Cinderella and all things disney then I would highly recommend checking out The Wicked Ones. This middle grade novel which is apart of the Dark Ascension series sheds some stunning information on the background on Anastasia and Drizella the stepsisters of Cinderella. I have to admit I was quite impressed with how this story turned out. Mainly because you realize they were victims of Lady Tremaine's wrath along with Cinderella. The ending of this novel will have you going woah and isn't the traditional happy ending.

Life hasn't always been easy for Anastasia and Drizella. Their father abandoned them at an early age which caused stress on Lady Tremaine and the remarriage with Cinderella's father doesn't seem to help. As the years go by and the upcoming debut party of the Prince shows up Anastasia and Drizella's image to impress their mother doesn't seem to work. However, both girls are determined to forge their own path even if it means upsetting their mother. Will they have the courage to succeed?

🌊 This Summer I Crafted . . .

○ 3 bedazzled books! I only have their respective titles (besides Ana Huang's bedazzled name) since I am new to bedazzling but I hope to improve over time.

○ A bookish bin! I was inspired by the creator @susancarolynn on a reel I saved a year ago. Essentially I painted a wooden bin and each board is a title of one of my fave books and elements from their respective stories. I might do a seperate post on it but it was honestly so hard to capture good pictures of it lol.

○ A jarro! A Mexican jarro is a traditional pottery dish used in Mexican households, I painted one and will be using it to store my bookmarks and night light for books.

🌴 This Summer I Watched . . .

Manyyyy shows and movies, though these are the ones I was able to come up with at the top of my head.

○ Supergirl
○ Heartstopper
○ The Neighborhood
○ A Good Girl's Guide To Murder
○ Off Campus
○ Pen15
○ Descendants Wicked Wonderland

☆ A few animated ones included . . . ☆

○ Toy St

This was such a fun, fast, and easy read. A fish out of water story about an American (maybe a dual citizen?) working at Buckingham Palace and living in London. If I was clever, I'd pop in some British quote here, but I got nothing!

Royal Spin by Omid Scobie and Robin Benway. Well done, mates! (Ah, there it is!! 😄)
